265 AC, Winterfell
Four moon turns after the birth of Alyssa Stark and the only thing that could have made Lyarra happier than she already was would have been if her husband was with them. Rickard hadn't wanted leave his family but eventually had to take his trip down to King's Landing, leaving Lyarra to manage the keep and their children.
Luckily Alyssa was a very nice baby that barely cried, but when she did she could rival Brandon's cries at that age. It seemed like her daughter was a mixture of her two older brothers. Quiet and gentle like Eddard at that age but at the same time with a temper like her eldest brother.
And much to Lyarra's delight her sons' admiration and awe for their younger sister hadn't faded. Both of them always made sure to spend as much time they could with their sister when they weren't busy with lessons, naps or other things. She would often find them, either alone or together, in Alyssa's nursery talking to her or 'protecting' her when she was asleep and it was in the nursery she found the two this day.
Over the passed four moons, searching for her sons had become much easier sense they seemed to spend more time in their sister's room than any other room in the castle. When she entered the small chamber she saw both of them standing by Alyssa's cradle looking down at their baby sister.
When they heard the door creak they turned around to look at their mother. "Mama!" they said in choir and Eddard ran over to her and she picked him up and walked over to the cradle to see that her daughter was awake, looking up at her with curious eyes.
"Can we pick her up Mama?" Brandon asked using his puppy eyes to convince her. Lyarra had realised early that she couldn't keep her sons away from Alyssa when she wasn't with them but she had made it clear that they couldn't pick her up and they had agreed immediately when she pointed out that they could hurt her.
"Of course dear" Lyarra said, glad to spend some time with all three of her children at the same time. She picked up her daughter and led her sons into her own bedchamber. She helped the two of them up on the bed.
"Can I hold here?" Brandon asked leaning back against the pillows. She placed Alyssa in her older brother's lap and smiled at the sight as Eddard crawled closer to his siblings. "When will she start talking?"
"It will be a few more moon turns until she starts talking little wolf" Lyarra laughed softly at her eldest eagerness. Ever since Alyssa had grabbed his finger the first time Brandon had been eager to witness all of his little sisters firsts.
