Serene POV
Jean, Kurt, Scott, and I continued racing down the hallways, bullets, bodies, and blood littered the floor; until we reached a cave like system. We turned the corner towards the door when we saw him. The man was pushing the door open, and snow could be seen falling onto the ground. The man had some sort of metal thing on his head and pegs stuck in his chest. The man started advancing towards us, and Scott started to take his glasses off...
"Scott, wait." Jean said. The man stopped and seemed to look right at me. "Serene," Jean started turning towards me. "You can help him." I shook my head.
"No, no, telepathy is your thing, not mine." I said. Jean walked over to me and grabbed my hands.
"You can access the part that was taken away from him, and I can give it to him." Jean said. I nodded and we slowly started walking towards the man. The man's metal claws started to go into his hands, if that was even a thing. I slowly reached my hands up and took the metal thing off his head and touched them to the sides of his head. Jean placed her hands on top of mine. The mine's gaze turned into mine the whole time. The feeling was weird, finding out about his past. I couldn't see it, but I could feel it was there. I felt myself grasp onto it, then Jean took it and gave it to the man. When we were done, Jean slowly took her hands off mine and backed away. After a second I dropped my hands, but could still feel the man's gaze. He started to take the pegs out of his chest, and when he did, the wound began to heal immediately. He took off another machine that was around his arms and threw it on the ground where I had placed the thing that had been around his head. He stared at me for another moment before looking back at Kurt, Scott, and Jean. He looked at me one last time before turning around and rushing out the door, into the cold snow.
"What'd you do to him?" Scott asked.
"I found a piece of his past and Jean gave it back to him." I said quietly. "Just a few memories I could reach."
"I hope that's the last we've seen of that guy." Scott commented.
Peter POV
The alarms continued to blare above us, but we couldn't hear any more gunshot. Suddenly, we heard footsteps and looked up to see Kurt.
"Kurt." Hank said, surprised. Kurt started to move his mouth to say something, but we couldn't hear.
"What?" Hank and Raven asked at the same time. Kurt looked down and must have pressed the speaker button, because then we heard his voice through the speakers.
"Stay away from the-" His voice came through disoriented and we couldn't hear the last part.
"The what?" Hank asked.
"The door-," Kurt continued. "Stay away from the..."
"The door!" I shouted, finally understanding.
"Get away from the door!" Raven shouted as we raced against the opposite wall.
"On three!" Kurt said. "One, two-" But before he could get to three the door blasted open. When the dust cleared we looked through the remains of the door and saw Scott, Jean, and Serene standing there. Raven got out first.
"We know where the Professor is." Jean stated.
"We think we might have a way out of here." Serene finished.
"Well, you've been busy." Raven said.
"We had a little help." Scott said. I looked over at Serene and she nodded at me, as a silent way of telling me she was fine.
"Let's go." She said, turning around and running down the hall with us following behind her.

Hey guys! Sorry this chapter is really short. Also, my other fanfiction, Afraid of the Sky, will not be continuing for awhile because I was watching it on Sling TV and they took it off. Thanks a lot. But also, the week after next is Spring Break, which felt like it took forever to finally come. So there is a possibility I won't be updating for at least two weeks, depending on what we do. But if that doesn't happen, I will be updating every Saturday!
