Below me, the train crashed into the ground, most parts exploding as they touched. But thankfully, the only death I felt was those of the aliens. The others were limping on the ground, but they were okay thanks to Jean's force fields. But then I saw Jean slowly hover back towards the ground. But I was still hovering in the air, far above them. The others made their way towards Jean, all staring right at her. But from all sides, more aliens ran at her. Jean used her powers to crumble to dust and rock, killing them instantly. But then Vuk came out of the shadows and rushed at Jean from behind. She grabbed her by the neck and started to, what looked like, absorb her powers. The energy circled around them like crazy, starting to destroy things in its path. Then, they shot up into the sky, above the earth. And I followed them.

Jean's energy swirled around them and started to cause Vuk's skin to crumble apart, just like the other alien's had. But her skin started to do that too. But to kill Vuk, I knew that just her power's weren't enough. And Jean knew that too.

Serene, I heard Jean's voice say in my head. It's time. You need to finish her.

"But you'll die," I said back. "You realize that, right?"

Ghost kills the Phoenix, remember? I paused for a moment. She was right. It was my destiny. I needed to kill her. I slowly reached out my hand and the black smoke-like energy shot out towards Jean and Vuk. Vuk screamed in agony and then was no more. Jean's skin crumbled, but with one final nod, she was gone. There was a burst of energy that blasted into me, knocking me backwards. Before I was knocked unconscious, I saw, from the energy, a form of a phoenix.
