Serene POV
Still invisible, I heard a buzzing noise behind us and saw that the plane was taking off. I gave a sigh of relief. They had gotten Charles. But that's when I saw them. The angel guy was flying the purple girl to the plane. She had landed on top and started using her purple lightsaber type hand to create a whole in it. The angel guy went inside. The plane crashed and exploded.
"Charles..." I heard Raven whisper behind me. But I knew they weren't dead. I could still feel them. The angel guy was dead, but not the purple girl.
"Their ok," I whispered. And as if Peter and Raven could hear me (which was possible), they turned to where I was standing for a moment. But Raven turned back towards Erik.
"I'm going to fight for what I have left." She said. "Are you?" But Erik stayed silent. I got the courage to turn myself visible again. I felt Peter hold the back of my neck like he held Raven's.
"Serene..." I could hear Erik say from behind me. But I didn't want to face him. Why would I even bother? He wasn't going to help us anyway. He never has, and never will. I closed my eyes and felt a rush of air, and I opened my eyes. We were back on the battlefield. Peter turned to look at both Raven and I.
"I have a plan," He said. "Raven I need you to come with me. Serene, I know you're not going to like it, but you need to stay here."
"What?" I scoffed.
"Serene," Peter sighed. "You can't control your powers, and you can't summon your powers like Raven and the others can. And I can't let you get hurt." As much as I didn't want to admit it, he was right. I couldn't summon my own powers, much less face my own dad. I looked down and slowly nodded.
"Ok," Peter said nodding, as if trying to convince himself. Peter nodded at Raven as they started going in the direction that Apocalypse was in. I put my back to a chunk of building (that had broken off and had fallen to the ground) and slowly sat down. Why couldn't I do it? I knew my powers were strong. Charles, everyone in my life had said it. Except me. I had only said that I was dangerous, not strong. Was that the difference? But wasn't dangerous and strong the same thing? No, no it wasn't. They were seperate things. You could be strong, you are strong. But it was your choice to be dangerous. To call yourself dangerous. I had always been strong. I had just chosen to not be because I had chosen to be dangerous.
I was broken out of my thoughts when I heard it. Peter yelled something, as if he was in pain. I started to stand up, when I remembered what he had said. 'You can't control your powers', he had said, 'and you can't summon your powers like Raven and the others can. And I can't let you get hurt.' But, like what I was good at, I ignored his words. He never said what to do if he got hurt. Even if I couldn't control my powers I could still fight. I could do something.
What I saw made me second guess my choice for a moment. Peter was on the ground, and it looked like the ground had wrapped itself around his leg. But that's when I saw her. Purple light-saber girl. She didn't have her light-saber hand activated, but she had her regular sword in her other. And she was making her way towards Peter and Apocalypse. Apocalypse grabbed the back of Peter's neck and forced him to look up. I knew what was going to happen next, and was about to go to them, when I realized something. The light-saber girl didn't have her light-saber. Only her sword. And Raven had gone with Peter....Raven had transformed herself into the light-saber girl!
"End him," Apocalypse told the light-saber girl/Raven. Raven swung the sword, but cut Apocalypse's neck instead. I breathed a sigh of relief. But instead of dying, he grabbed Raven's neck and lifted her up into the air. He let go of Peter and I could see the cut on his neck started to heal. I don't know what I was thinking by this action, yet I did it anyway. I ran at him, the agner started to build up.
"Stop!" I yelled loudly, and my voice seemed to echo around the area. Still holding onto Raven, he turned and looked at me.
"Death in the flesh," He said coldly. "We meet again."
"Let her go," I yelled. "It's not her you want. You want Charles. Ok, I get that. But you will never have him. If you're already so powerful, why do you need another? Ha, you should have been able to kill us already. But you couldn't. You see, that's destiny. You will never be a god. You're still flesh and bone, like the rest of us. You live and you die, no matter what, even if it does take a few thousand years." I started advancing towards him. "You chose to be this way. It couldn't have ended like this, but you chose it. And there's no going back." I didn't know what I was expecting, but definitely not his next reaction.
"You say so many wonderful things child," he said. "But do you believe them?" His words stopped me. That's when I felt it. Something yanking me back. It wasn't physical, it was mental, as if someone had grabbed onto my mind. Then everything went black.

Thank you guys so much for reading! Also, there will only be a few chapters left for the Apocalypse movie, then I will go into the Dark Phoenix movie. But thing is, I don't actually have the Dark Phoenix movie, so it might be awhile before that comes. But yeah. I will be updating every Saturday! (Also, comment what kind of fan-fiction you would want next - Hobbit or The Walking Dead.)
