Serene POV

Everyone stopped using their powers, and at last, the black smoke finally retreated back to me. We all just looked at each other for a few moments and Erik slowly came down towards us, and so did the storm girl. I saw Hank grab Scott and they jumped back into the house where Charles was. I knew he was okay, though. I could hear his heartbeat. I turned back to Erik and slowly walked towards him.

"Hi," I said slowly.

"Hello Serene," He said with a small smile.

"I would say I knew you'd come around," I said with a small smile. "But I honestly didn't know."

"Neither did I," He said. "Until I saw you. How you were willing to give your life for them. I only wish I had the courage to do as you did."

"You can," I said. "You do." I held my hand out to him. "It's time to come home."

---

The news channels were going crazy. My dad was no longer a fugitive. For once, everything seemed complete.

Jean and Erik were using their powers to rebuild the school. I was standing on the lawn with Peter and the storm girl, whose name was actually Storm. Peter had a cast on his leg and it was covered in different signatures and drawings.

"Mystique told me he is your father," Storm told Peter, referencing to Erik. "Are you gonna tell him?"

"Might," Peter said. "One day. Think for now I'm gonna stick around here for a while." He gave me a smile and put his arm around my shoulder.

"Me too," Storm said with a small laugh.

---

For the next few days I got to know my dad better. He told me stories of when he was younger. Most of them were sad though, because he spent most of his time in Auschwitz. He even showed me the identification numbers on his wrist. That's when he told me something. That he was going away. He said he was going to make a safe place for mutants where the government couldn't keep track of or go to. He promised he would visit. And that I could visit as well. I told him that I was happy he was helping other mutants.

---

Peter, Jean, Scott, Storm, Kurt, and I were standing in one of the blue rooms, all in a line.

"Forget everything you think you know," Raven said, pacing back and forth in front of us. "Whatever lessons you learned in school, whatever your parents taught you. None of that matters. You're not kids anymore. You're not students. You're X-Men." She looked over at Hank who was the control panel. The room got dark except for a few white lights along the wall. We turned around to see the walls opening up behind us. We all got ready. Peter put his goggles on, Storm was making sparks, and my eyes slowly turned their blood red. A bunch of robots stepped out from where the wall used to be. We all looked at each other, and then started advancing towards them.

That, my dear readers, is the end of Apocalypse. But never fear, Dark Phoenix is here! (Well, not yet, we still need to get the movie by next Saturday, but figuratively speaking it is here) Anyway, thank you so much for reading, and next Saturday will be the start of Dark Phoenix.
