It was soundless in the school. Nobody felt like they were them today. Scarlett walked into the music room by accident and seen a piano. With out hesitation she sat at it. She played it so gracefully and so calmly. Almost everybody could hear it but she did not know this. There was a music sheet that said "For River". Memories came to her with her mom in her living playing the piano. She did not know how she was playing this but she just let her hands guide her.
"Sounds peaceful." Cody said. Scarlett jumped and turned around. "Oh, how long were you there?" she said. He took a second to think. "Ever since it started. Tell me, where did you learn to play like that?" He looked at her. "I'm not sure. My hands just guided me I guess." She said while looking away from his stare. "So you're telling me you have no idea how you just played that but you just did?" He sounded confused. "Pretty much." she replied.
I entered the room and stared at them. "Who just played that song?" I said while stareing at them. Cody pointed at Scarlett. "Play it again." I demanded. I listen so carefully. Every note she hit sent chills through my entire body. She stopped playing. I was still staring in the spot that K had been since she started to play. "I've heard that song, somewhere." I looked at her. Cody looked at me.
"There this game called 'To The Moon' and the boy in it named Johnny plays that for his sick wife River." he said. "How do I remeber this?" I said concerned. "What if this song is trigering something in your mind to remember?" Cody asked. "So that mean if we hear or see things that was in out life we'll remember small portions of our life?" I asked. Cody stared at the wall ahead of him and then looked at the piano. "I'm not sure but there is a chance." he said in a low voice.
Sophia ran in the room. "Guys, I heard vehicle outside. It was distant but what if Cole and Jason are in trouble?" she said. "Their fine. I told them to hide or run if anything was going to happen." Cody said. I opened my mouth to say something but no words came out. I left in the middle of a conversation they were having, they didn't seem to notice. I walked into one of the classroom. It was cold. I shivered and looked up to find the window open. I made up a lame reason why it was open. "I thought all windows and doors were suppose to be closed at all times." I said softly to myself. Something so soundless grabbed my neck from behind. I fought until everything went black. The rest of the group was far away.
"Hey Cody, do you think they'll be back before night fall?" Savannah asked. Cody looked up from his plate. "Yeah, I hope at least. Did anybody ever tell Emalea about the note they left?" Cody asked. "Yeah I told her." Sophia answered while staring out the window. "Speaking of Emalea, I haven't seen her all day. Where is she?" Beau asked. "We talked to her for about thirty minutes today but thats the last I seen her. I thought she got hungry and went to get breakfest but she isn't down here." Scarlett answered. Beau shook his head and went back to eating. Nothing was much said afterwards just a little conversation about what they are going to do if Cole and Jason do find that camp, thats if there is one.
