"Here's the bags" Cody said pointing towards the wall. We all walked over there it put them on. "You have one for Jessie don't to you?" Savannah asked. "Yeah, I over heard you guys talking. I made him one." He replied. "So now that Jessie is coming with us, who will be in cha-" Sophia was cut off. "Where do you guys think you're going?" Cole blurted out. "On a run." Beau said. He sounded confused. "And you guys didn't even ask me to come?" He said. Nobody said anything and than he looked at Jessie. "Oh, but you'll let Jessie go before me?" He said pointing at Jessie. Jessie started to walk towards him with his hand in a fist. Cody jumped in front of Jessie and held him back before he could do anything. "Both of you, stop it." Jason said coming from behind. He grabbed Coles arm. "I don't know what has gotten into you, but you need to calm down. You've been really bitchy about things lately. Just because your group does things without you doesn't mean you ca-" Jason was cut off. Cole had removed Jason's arm from his. "I could care less what they do!" He yelled and walked off. Guilt shot through my body. "Just because your group does things without you" I threw the bag down and started to follow Cole, but someone grabed me by the arm. "He's not worth it Emalea." Beau said. He let's go of my arm.I walk back and pick the bag up and slip it back on. "Let's go then." Cody said. We headed out the front door in silence. We walked start up the road for a few minutes. "There's a railroad." Sophia whispered to Scarlett. Cody heard them. "Yeah, that thing wasn't fun when you lived right next to it." He said. "You lived close?" Scarlett asked. "Mhm, i'll show you guys. Emalea, you came over often when you lived close by, but you moved." He said. "I lived close to you?" I said. "Yeah, I would come over to your house to. Scavo came along to." He said. "Is it common for you to just call people by their last name?" Savannah said. "Its just something I do Thomas." He said with a laugh. She didn't say anything back, only smiled. She blused a bit. We kept walking. "Sophia, you even went to Emalea's house a lot. You guys were really good friends. I mean you a all were, but like.. Sophia lived close." He said. Me and Sophia looked at each other. "Actually Sophia you moved to, but you moved before Emalea. You used to live right by the school." He said. Sophia raised her eyebrows. "Here we are." Cody said pointing at a house before anybody could say anything. "This is your house?" Savannah asked. "Yeah." He replied. "Can we go in?" Sophia asked. "I'd much rather not." He said. His voice became lower. I couldn't imagine what he had seen in his very own house. We sat in silence looking at the deserted house. "Let's go." Cody said walking away. He didn't wait for us to follow behind.
We decided to walk the railroad track all the way up to the tunnel. Before we reach the tunnels there was a wall made from rocks, like a small mountain. It was beautiful the way the sun reflected off of it. "We should climb those." Nathan whispered to me. I looked at him with a confused look, but mange to smile in his craziness. "I'm doing." He said walking towards the rocks. He started to climb them and the group stop. "What is he doing?" Cody said with a laugh. "Just.. Watch." I whispered. He made it up there and planted his feet on a big flat rock. He was up so high. "Come on!" He yelled motioning towards the group. I laughed and managed to run for the wall. "Emalea..!" Savannah yelled. "Don't worry! I got this." I yelled back. I put my feet up one by one and finally got up to Nathan. "Whoa.." I whispered. "This is so.. Beautiful." I finished. "Yeah, it is." Beau said coming from behind. "Not a bad idea Nathan." Beau said. The way sun was setting behind the trees and the rock wall on the other side was elegant. The rest got up there and we sat and talked watching the sun go down. "What a waste of a day." Cody said looking at the sun. "I wouldn't call it a waste." Beau said. "Yeah, I mean we got to see this amazing view." Nathan said. There was a moment of silence. "Should we head back to the school or keep going?" Sophia asked. "We should go back, I don't trust the night." Cody said. As we all got down we started to walk back I could tell Sophia was tired. It was like the dream.. Or nightmare.. I had. "Sophia, get on my back." I said. "What?" She replied. "Get on my back." I repeated. She opened her mouth to say something, but I spoke before she could "No if, ands, or but, just get on." I said bending down. She got on and she felt so light. We continued to walk and the farther we got the more limb she got. By the slower her breathing got, I could tell she was asleep. "Like a little kid." I thought. I smiled. "What are you smirking about?" Beau asked looking to his side. "Oh, nothing." I said looking towards him. "Just.. Thinking, that's all." I finished it felt like forever to get to the school, but we finally made it. Jason opened the door for us. "Did you find anything?" He asked Cody. "We kind of blew that." Cody said with a chuckle. As we all came in, Nathan and Beau went to go get pillows and blankets for us. They laid them down. I silently laid Sophia down on her pillow and covered her up trying not to wake her. "Sleep well." I whispered. Everyone was laying down before I would even get there. I laid down and felt the presents of someone staring at me, but didn't turn to look. I was probably paranoid. Thought after thought in my head, I finally fell asleep. Maybe tomorrow we could get more done.
