Cole woke up to find Jason searching the house again. Jason looked tired, more then he ever did. "Hey man, did you get enough sleep last night you look very tired." Cole said. Jason jumped a little and turned to Cole. "No, those things kept me up so I kept look out and haven't had much sleep." Jason replied. Cole removed the dirty blanket and stood up. He walked over to his shoes and put them on. "You know, we can go back and tell them we didn't find a camp?" Cole asked. "No, I don't want to lie to them. I'll make it, what if there is a camp? We would find it in the future and guess what, they'll know we lied. We should keep going though, I heard another car last night and it attracted most of the zombies towards it." Jason said still searching for things.
Cole stood up after he got done getting his shoes on. "Do you think they were looking for us?" Cole asked. Jason shrugged his shoulders and kept looking. "Hey, do you mind searching those back rooms there, you never know what we could find." Jason said and pointed to a hall without looking up. Cole walked to the door and knocked on it to see if any creatures were in there, he heard nothing so he went in. It was a baby room. Toys strung out everywhere and a crib in the right hand cornor. He stepped in and seen some picture of the baby and its family. It was a girl, only looked a few about one or two. Cole grinned and put the picture down.
There was another door in the room, this time the door was wide open. It was another bedroom, perhaps the parents? He walked in and looked around. "They must of made it out alive." Jason said coming in the room. "Why do you say that?" Cole responded. "Take a look." he stopped and pointed at the walls and bed. "Theres no blood, not even some from the zombies." he said. The way he said zombies made Cole stiff up. Cole walked in the room a bit more. "Do you think they are still alive?" Cole asked. He walked to the bed and touched it. Soft, he thought. "Perhaps." Jason replied searching the dressers.
They changed into new clothes and grabbed some for the rest of us. They slipped them into Jasons backpack. They searched the rest of the rooms and found nothing useful. "Okay, you ready?" Cole asked. Jason shook his head and they went out the front door, there was less of those creatures out there.
The sun bright and it was cold outside but not as cold as it was in the afternoon. They got back on the road and started walking. Not much was said. There was movement every now and then from those things. "What if we get there and they keep us hostage? What if there isn't even a camp there?" Cole asked. "Cole, we'll worry about that when that happens but for now just keep your head up and worry about satying alive." Jason said. He sounded angry, probably from not getting any sleep. Cole didn't say anything back.
It felt has if they were walking for hours until they looked back and seen the house in the distance. Cole fround and kept walking. They walked a bit longer and Jason stopped. "Look" Jason said and pointed. Cole smiled and it faded fast. "Shit dude, that mean there is-" Cole got cut off. He was struck in the head and fainted. Before he fainted he didn't hear Jason, did they hit Jason first or was their two of them?
