"Shh guys, he is waking up." A voice said. Cole rose up and looked at these people. Right to him laid Jason, he wasn't moving. Coles heart began to race and he could hardly breathe. "Wh-Who are you people? Where am I? Jason. JASON!" Cole was now freaking out. He kept trying to get out of bed but the wouldn't let him. "Cole calm down, its me Zack. We were best friends in school. Come on, please remember me.." Zack said. His voice was smooth. "Everybody out. I want to talk." A deep voice said. As everybody left, Cole was looking around the room. "You know you and your friend here could've been really hurt." He said smiling, but this wasn't a friendly smile. "Why did you knock me and my friend out and bring me here?" Cole asked. "Me? I would never do that. Now, somebody else, maybe." He said. "Who are you?" Cole said. It was silent for a moment. "John, I am the leader here. There's kids your age and younger here to. Its safe here so don't worry." He said while going towards the window. It was complete silent now. Cole looked towards Jason. 'Come on, you have to wake up.' Cole thought. "Like this girl was here today. One of my people 'found' her. We wanted to keep her and her group safe but she wouldn't speak up." John said. Cole didn't say anything. "Where did you find her?" Cole asked. "In a ditch. She was already passed out so we brought her here. We seen there was a note on her so we knew there was other people." John said. Cole was staring at Jason again. "You know, if we never found her she would've been eaten." John said. Cole was curious and didn't care who this girl was he was talkin about. The only person he had on his mind was Jason. He was afraid if he was going to die, right in front of him. "John!" A voice said. It was faint. The door flew open. It was Zack. "John! Hope and them are..." He was out of air. "Come on, spit it out!" John screamed. "They're gone... They're gone.." Zack finally said. John was standing straight up now. "What do you mean they're 'gone' he said. His tone was frightening. " I-I-I went to Hopes room and she wasn't there so I went to Chasitys and she wasn't there either. There is no sign of them." Zack said. John was moving towards Zack. "Move kid." John said pushing Zack aside. He almost lost balance. "Mmm" a almost soundless noise made. Cole looked over, it was Jason. He was moving. Cole got out of bed, it hurt. He slowly walked towards Jason. Cole touched the bed, he could see Jason breathing. The sight of that sent feel of relief through his whole body. He slowly reach his hand over Jason then took it back. "Jason?" Cole said. "Jason? Come on. We have to get out of here." Cole said. He slightly shook him. Jason's eyes opened slowly. It took a moment for him to focus on Cole. "Cole?" Jason said, his voice was soft. Cole smiled. "Come on, we need to get out of here. I'll explain later." Cole said. He was helping Jason out of the bed. Cole made sure Jason had balance when they walked to the door. "I can walk now, I was just a bit dizzy." Jason said. Cole looked at him. "Are you sure?" Cole asked. Jason nodded his head. "I'll be fine." Jason said. Cole slowly let go and looked out the door. He motioned to Jason. The halls were silent as they went out. They could only faintly hear Jason yelling on the floor above. They found the way out and head back towards the school. "Shit dude, what if they find us." Jason said. "They won't! Calm down. Remember? We came here by ourselfs, nobody knew where we came from." Cole said. They were running and they didn't even think about stopping. They slowly came to a vault. "L...Look." Cole said while pointing. "We... We made it." Cole said while breathing really heavy. The sun was already coming up. It was bright and warm, had they really been running that long? As they reached the back door they seen the dead zombies outside. They beat on the door. I was the one to open it. "Cole! Jason! Where have you guys been! We were worried sick." I said, I hugged them. I could feel their hearts pounding. Once they were in, people crowded them. They were hugging and asking what happened. "Everyone, stop." A voice said. It was Cody. They made a path for him like he was a king. Cody smiled and hugged. "Eat and then get some sleep. You guys need it." Cody said patting Jason's shoulder.
