"Quick grab the guns!" Jessie yells. I toss him one and he catches it gracefully. "Look I am going first. Stay close, but be careful." He said to us all. We all ran to the corner of the school were the scream had been "Watch out Gracie!" The boy yelled. We all ran around the corner to see Gracie almost get bit. Jessie shot and didn't miss. He was good. "Come on guys! Be cautious and stay alive." He said. We all ran shooting at the creatures. "This way!" Gracie yelled and waving her arm until there was another scream. The creature was all over her arm and blood was everywhere. Another came behind her a bit her neck. I was in shock, I couldn't even hear anything. Jessie ran up to me and tried to get me to snap out of it, but I wouldn't budge. Scarlett ran to me an was talking to Jessie and pointed towards the door. His nodded his head in agreement and Scarlett grabbed my arm and started for the school. My hearing came back slowly, but was coming back. "We have to get her!" Sophia said while running. "There's nothing we can do! She has been bit. We can't save her." Savannah yelled. As we entered, Jessie still stayed outside shooting them. "Come on! You're going to get yourself killed!" Sophia said holding the door as everybody ran in. "I know what I am doing! Go. Make sure everyone is okay!" He yelled still shooting them. Sophia ran inside and went straight for Cody. "Cody! Come on. Gracie has been bit and Jessie is out there killing those things by himself. Get people!" She yelled. He got people and we heard gunshots for what seemed an hour. I was sitting down and staring in one spot while Scarlett and Savannah were sitting next to me. They were holding my hand and playing with my hair. The kept telling me everything was going to be okay and so was Gracie. I believed them for a brief moment and knew they were only saying those things to make me feel better. The doors opened. They all walked in with blood on some of them. From what I saw, they were fine. No marks. Just blood on them. Everyone crowded around them, but Cody managed to slipe away and came over to us. "Is she okay?" Cody asked. "Yeah, just a little shocked." Cole said coming from behind Scarlett. I looked up and my lips were dry. "Water" was the only word that came out of my mouth. Sophia ran and got me some while the others kept speaking to me and we had conversation about what happened. My heart beat was normal now and I felt more comfortable. Cody explained about Gracie and how they'll have a funeral for her. "You need sleep." Cole said. I laid down, but only replayed the scene of Gracies death in my head. How horrifying it must of felt. What was going through her mind? Did she know it was over? All of these thoughts had made me doze off and I didn't wake up.
