"Ugh.." I grunted jumping over the fence. "You okay?" He asked. He was looking towards the woods. "Yeah, just haven't done that yet." I said brushing my knees off. We walked into a opening of the woods. It was dark, but some light was gleaming through the trees. "It's beautiful. I don't remember it being like this when I woke up." I said. I put my gun in the back of pants. I shivered from the cold metal. How did people handle this? "Well when you woke up, you probably didn't pay attention to. Your only priority was to get of there." He said putting his gun away to. "This wood is small. He couldn't of gone to far." He said continuing straight. "That's if the is in here." He finished. It was silent, but there were still a few birds left. I couldn't believe some were still alive. They probably won't survive much longer. "Which way do you think we should go?" I asked. He had a puzzled look on his face. "Should we split up?" I asked. He look towards me fast. "What? Are you crazy! That would get on of us killed!" He said looking towards me. "Oh, I'm.. Sorry." I said looking away. "I wasn't trying to get one of us killed." I finished. Wow, I am stupid. Good job Emalea, getting Beau to think you were crazy. "No, its fine just.. That's not the best idea." He said putting his hand on my shoulder. We started to walk forward and then we took a left. "Whoa!" He said putting a hand in front of me. I looked down to see a big gapping whole in the ground. "A sinkhole. They're pretty common around here." He removed his hand from my body. They was movement down there. Maybe some small animal. We moved back and started to walk around it. "What if he isn't even- ah!" I yelled. My foot slipped in a part of the sinkhole. Of course, this would happen to me. Beau instantly dropped to the ground and grabbed my arm. He started to pull me up, but some was holding my foot. I kept yelling and kicking to get it off. I grabbed Beau's arm with both of my hands. Tears were filling my eyes. This could be where I die. "Ah.. Emalea! Stop kicking me..!" A voice yelled from below. I stopped kicking and looked down. "Nathan, what the hell!" I yelled towards him. "We were worried sick." Beau yelled down to him. Beau pulled me up. It was probably a lot easier now that I wasn't kicking and moving around. I got up and brushed myself off. Beau helped Nathan up. "I just wanted to talk to you." I said I said to him while he brushed himself off to. He didn't respond, he only looked away.
