Chapter 16: Is There An Hope Left?

I woke up on a bed with two girls beside me and John in front of me. "You like to pass out don't you?" John said. The dark haired girl grabbed my hand. "John told us you lost your memory awhile back so you don't remember us. I am Hope and the red haired girl is Chasity." She said with a smile. "Really Hope? Red haired girl?" Chasity said. "What else was I suppose to refer you to?" Hope said. I sat up and looked at them both. "You were the girls that my friends were talking about." I said softly. "Hm? So there's more of you? Where? We can help you guys. Chas, are other friends! What if their there to?!" Hope said, she was so thrilled to hear this that she jumped out of her seat and paced back and forth. "That's what I am trying to figure out but miss Emalea over here won't speak up." John said leaning against the door frame. I looked at him then to Hope and Chasity. "Do you really trust this man? Because I sure wouldn't." I said looking back to John. They looked confused now. "Hope, Chasity? Please step out, I'd like to talk with Emalea. Go check on those new boys. Nathan is with them." They shook their heads and whispered to one another as they left. John turned around and shut the door and locked it. "You know, I don't appreciate it when you tell my people not to trust me." He said without turning around. I didn't say anything. "You must of hit the ground pretty hard there didn't you?" He smirked. I looked down and my hand was bandaged up and it hurt to move. How did I not notice this before? He sat down in the chair that Hope was in. "Now, are you going to give your camp up or am I going to have to force it out of you?" He said reaching for my hurt arm. "I'd rather be in pain then you knowing where my camp was." I said. He grabbed my hand and twisted it. I tried to yell but I was so tired I could barley do anything. I yanked my hand away and held it, that was all the energy I had left. He laughed and stood up, he was now in front of my bed. "You may think we won't find it but trust me, we have some of the best people here. We will eventually find it." He said. He walked out the door and I was left in a empty room with sun coming in through the window. "Guys, where are you when I need you the most?" I whispered myself looking towards the window.

I had fallen asleep. It was close to three now and Hope brought me food. "Knock knock? I HOPE you're hungry. Get it? Hope?" She said laughing. I laughed a bit and sat up. She brought it to me and sat it in my lap. We talked about all sorts of things, me, her, Chas, and she asked about who was at the camp. I named people off and her eyes widened. "You have to bring me and Chas there. We know so many people there! Look, I don't like this place and neither does Chas, please, PLEASE bring us there tonight. We can sneak out, if we get caught the blame is on me? Please?" Hope said. I looked away. "I don't remember you well but from what I know, I can trust you. Yes, I'll bring you there, but you have to help me first." I said. She jumped up. "Thank you so much. What do you need?" She said. "Ammo. I heard you guys had a lot of ammo here. I want some." I said looking at her. "Oh, what kind? We have all sorts, sniper, shotgun, ect." She said. "A few of each would be nice." She shook her head and headed towards the door. "Oh and Hope?" I said. She tuned around. "Yeah?" She said. "Thanks for the food." I said with a smile. She smiled and walked out. I got out of bed and towards the bathroom. I took my pony tail out and redone it. My mouth was dry, I stuck my head under the sink and turned the water on. The water tasted good. "How did I manage to get kidnapped?" I said shaking my head. As I walked out of the bathroom, I went towards the window and opened it. It was bright. You could see so much land from where I was. It was beautiful "Breathe taking isn't it?" A deep voice said. I turned around fast. It was a boy, he was taller then me and he had brown hair. He walked to me and stuck his hand out. "Chasity told me that you were here. Now, I know you don't remember me but I am Nathan." He said. His hand was still out so I shook it. "I'm Ema-" I got cut of by him. "I know who you are. We went to school together. We had 6th period together." He said. We released hands. "So, was there a real reason you came up here or?" I said. He shook his head. "I just wanted to see if it was true." He said. "True?" I said confused. "If it was true you were here. I don't trust John that much. I heard him over talking about some things." He said looking away. "Yeah, I could agree with you on that." I said. "Nathan? Come on. We need you with the new boys and you Emalea, you need sleep." A girl said. I ignored her and said bye to Nathan. I stared out the window a bit longer and decided to go lay back down. I fell asleep.

"Emalea? Emalea? Come on, its time to go." Chasity said. I stood up and stretched. I looked towards the window to see that it was fully black outside. "Wow, did I really sleep that long?" I said rubbing my eyes. They laughed and picked up their backpacks. "Here, it has the ammo you wanted and some food and water." Hope said handing me the backpack. "Thanks." I said. I went to the bathroom and rubbed water on my face. I walked out and they were both talking on the bed. "And I was like 'Camren is reeeeeeaaaaal.' " Hope said. I laughed and looked at her with wide eyes. "Oh uh.. Hey Emalea are.. Uh.. You ready?" She said, here face was red. Chasity laughed. "Haha, yeah. I am ready." I replied. We headed out the door silently. "We have to be carful there is usually watch out." Chasity whispered. We didn't hear anything until we got to the front door. "Don't worry I got this." Hope said walking out of cover. "Hope..!" I said. "Hey guys? John said he needs to see you. Something to do with look out? I don't know. He's on the roof though." Hope said calmly. She seemed to have it under control. They looked at each other and started to walk towards the stairs. Me and Chasity got out of cover. "Woah, it worked?" Chasity said. Hope laughed and we headed out the door. "Okay Emalea, lead the way." Hope said pointing her hand in front of her. I walked to the front and started to walk. I stopped. "Um, guys?" I said. "Yeah?" Chasity said. "Well, you see.. I kind of have no idea where we are. We I got her I was knocked out at the school." I said rubbing the back of my head. "A school? Do you remember the name of it." Hope said looking at Chasity. "Like Park City or something." I said looking away. "Yes! I know where that is at. We went there." She said. Hope ran to the front and started to walk faster and faster until we were all running. "Hope, slow down. We could attract someone." Chasity said. "We can't stop now! We are almost there. Look! I see it." Hope said. Wow, we were really almost there. I couldn't help to smile. Everyone's face popped into my head. Scarlett, Savannah, Sophia, Cody, Jason, Cole, Jessie. I some how got ahead of Hope. We were at the back doors now but there were creatures crowding the place. I smiled. "You guys ready. I can't wait to kill these things." I said. I pulled a knife from my back pocket. I totally forgot it was there until now. We all lunged towards them and killed them one by one. We knocked on the doors louder and louder until our hands started to hurt. Somebody finally came, Cody. "Emalea? Hope? Chasity?" He said. We smiled and he let us in. "Where did you find them!?" Cody said. "A camp. They wanted to come. John has no idea we left and he has no idea where our camp is." I said as I touched Cody's shoulder. "Is everybody else asleep." He shook his head yes. "Hope, Chas. We have extra pillows and blankets, sleep." They went in and layer there things down. They feel asleep fast. I couldn't sleep so I went to the bleachers. I looked in the bag Hope made for me. There was the ammo and some clothes. "What do you got there?" Cody said. "Something's Hope got for me." I said with a smile. "I talked her into getting us some ammo." I said as I laid it out. He shook his head. "Good job Maxwell." He said with a chuckle. I gave it to him. "Put it some where safe." I said he walked out the door and I decided to try to go to sleep, but I couldn't. I watch over my friends as they slept. I thought of what it would be like if I left them back in the woods or if I never found Hope and Chas. "Sleep good guys." I said with a smile.
