I woke up in sweat. My face was hot and I knew it was red. Some people were still asleep and I could tell it was around nine o'clock. I got up and headed straight for the bathroom in nausea. I was so light headed and felt like I could pass out any second. I grabbed my stomach. Was I really this hungry? I looked into the bathroom mirror and saw how pale I was. I looked like a ghost. I headed out the door to the lunch room to get food. Once I got in there I saw Cody, Nathan, Beau, and Scarlett laughing at a table. Scarlett saw me before the others so I smiled and waved. She smiled and waved back. "Hey, are you okay? You seem sick." She yelled. The rest turning around to see me. "Yeah, you look really pale. What's wrong?" Nathan asked. "Just hungry, that's all." I replied. "When you get your food come sit with us." Cody said and they all turned back around. I got my food a sat down next to Scarlett. The way the early sun reflected off her baby blue eyes was soothing. I looked down at my food and felt sick again. Why was I feeling like this? "Emalea, are you sure you're okay?" Beau asked. "Yeah," I swolled. "I'm fine, I just.. I need some air. I got up and walked to the doors. Before I left I heard Scarlett tell them she was going to go check on me. I sat down on the tables that were outside and soon came Scarlett. "Look at me." She said I turned to her. She put her hand on my head. "You're warm. You're eyes are bloodshot. Have you gotten any food or sleep?" She asked. "Some and I haven't been hungry. When I see food I just... Feel dizzy." I said. She sat down next to me. "Look, the whole thing with Gracie.. I know we didn't know her well, but seeing that was horrible. I understand that, but honey you have to eat." She said. Her hand was on my shoulder now. "Do you wanna go back inside?" I ask. "Yeah, let's go back in. You never know if one of those things might come out." She said. We headed back inside. Their eyes were set on us now. I sat down and the room began to feel with chatting and laughter. I started to eat slowly, trying not to let them notice me, but I could feel their eyes glancing at me every few moments. I was sitting up straight now and saw Savannah and Sophia coming our way. They seemed happy. "Hey guys, pull a chair up." Cody said. "Have you guys seen Cole lately?" Sophia asked. "Yeah, he's been helping Jason with things around the school. They probably have some 'bromance' going on nobody knows about." Scarlett finished. We laughed at her joke and kept eating. Most people were done, but stayed to chat. After I had eaten I felt slightly better. "Okay well I am going to go. I want to finish the storage stuff." Cody said standing up. "Nathan, Beau, you wanna come with?" Cody asked. They both agreed to go. "See you guys later." Beau said. We told them bye. "Anyways, what was I saying?" Savannah said. "About how you woke up wit-" Scarlett was cut off. "Sophia, Emalea? We need you. Scarlett and Savannah we will need you when they're done." Nathan said. Me and Sophia looked at each other confused. We got up and headed with Nathan. "Its nothing serious guys so don't worry. We decided to start to set out jobs for everybody, their pick, unless there is to many on that job." He said. I could hear Sophia's breathe release from her body. We entered a room that I hadn't seen before. "Here's the list." Nathan said pointing at the white paper on the desk. "You guys are first pick, so choose wisely." Beau said. "You guys haven't chose yet?" I asked. "Nope, we figured we'd let you guys chose before we did." He replied. "I want to do something easy." Sophia whispered. "Yeah, same." I replied. We searched down the list. "I mean we can either work in the lunchroom, farm outside, or..yeah, thasts about all I want to do." She said looking up. "What about you?" She asked me. "I'll do the lunchroom with you." I told her. We both put down our names on the paper. "Okay, send Savannah and Sophia in here." Cody said. We headed out and sat back down. We told them and the went back. "I hope they choose the same as us or at least one of them do." She said. I nodded in agreement. We decided to go put out plates up and go do something. "Whoa, wait. What about Savannah and Scarlett?" I said. "Do you want to go back there with them?" Sophia asked. "I mean why not? We have nothing better to do." I said. We headed down the hall towards the classroom. "Hey guys." Sophia said. "What are you guys doing back?" Cody said. "I mean we can leave if you want." I said. "No its fine." Beau said glaring at Cody. "We wanted to wait for them." Sophia said pointing towards Scarlett and Savannah. "Are you cold?" Nathan asked. Apparently I was shivering, but I felt fine. I wasn't hot nor cold. "Hm? No, I am fine." I replied. Savannah dropped the pen on the table. "Done, you guys ready?" Savannah asked. "Yeah, let's go." Sophia said. "What are you guys going to go do?" Beau asked. "I don't really know. Is there anything we can do to help with anything?" I said. "Well, Jessie told me about how you guys handle yourself. I thought maybe you'd guys like to come on a run with us. Jessie will be I'm charge so we know things were safe." Beau finished. I looked at the others and the surprise on their face. "Yeah, we'll go. What about Cole and Jason?" Sophia asked. They looked at each other. "I would want them to come, but I just don't trust it right now. Give them a brake." Cody said. "Okay, so when do we leave?" Scarlett asked. "Tonight around seven." Cody said. "We'll get everything packed so don't worry about that." Beau said. "We'll find you when we are ready." Cody said. Great, another run I thought.
