"What," I stuttered. "What do we do?" I finished. "For the first time, I don't know."Cody said. His face was red. He ran his fingers through his hair. We stood for what seemed like forever. Cole was pacing back and forth and I could hear Jason trying to calm hin down.
"Jason, Cole, and Matthew." Cody stopped and looked at the school again. He pointed to the left where the truck was. It looked as if it was stil running. "Go for the truck. It may seem that they're still in there so be careful. You guys are really sneaky and are good with knife." He said. Beau pulled around his small bag he brought with him. "I brought these in case. Take them." Beau handed each of them a knife. The balde abd habdle was long and the blade was thick. "Whar ever you do, don't get yourself killed. Spencer might still be in there and if he is, i'll send him your way with a few others if there is some." Cody started to walk in front of us. "Now for the rest of you, follow me. We will go on the other side and go into the building." He turned around and looked at us. "Same goes for you, don't get yourself killed." he pointed to us.
Sophia ran straight for Matthew and huged him. She was weeping into his shoulder while he was brushing her hair down. He kept telling her they'd make it out alive and everything would be okay. With a kiss goodbye, for now, she ran back. I brushed the tears from her eyes and she gave a weak smile. I'm sure Matthew was feeling the same way just not showing it.
Beau pulled his bag around again handing us each weapons. They were hand guns. Maybe they thought we were dealing with people. I mean the truck was still there. Why would they just leave it?
"This," Cody stopped. "Could be a start of a war." he finished. He cocked his gun back. "Let's go." he turned back around and we all headed to the school. We parted ways, killing the things one by one. They were everywhere biting at us, missing every bit the tried to take.
