I paced around thinking of how John found us. "I don't get it." Nathan yelled coming into the gym. "How did he find us and where the hell is Chas and Hope?" He yelled again. "I'm sure they're fine Nathan, they usually handle their selfs pretty well." Savannah said while rubbing Scarlett's head. She gave her a small kiss on the forehead. She was still very shakey.
There were more gunshots few. They were close now. In the building close. I pulled my gun out and started to walk the direction, but Nathan stopped me. "I got this one, stay with Scarlett. She'll need you." He said running off. I dropped the gun to my side and put it back into my jeans. I talked back.
"So, uh. Anything you need?" I asked. "Water, she's burning up." She replied feeling Scarlett's head. "Cody left his bag over there. I'm sure he wouldn't mind us using a water bottle." She pointed towards the doors. I walked to get it, reaching in to find a half filled water bottle. It'll do. I walked back and handed it to Savannah.
"Thanks." She grabbed the bottle from my hand and pouring some into the cap. She barley dripped some of Scarlett's head. Scarlett didn't fight her with this.
"Fuck that! Leave the shit. I am not going back there." Jason yelled coming in the gym. "Come on guys, we need out now." He heading towards the door. Scarlett raised her head up. "What's going on?" She asked. "What's going is there's a fucking bomb in there. I don't know where they got the bomb, but frankly I don't give a single shit. We all are leaving now." He said.
I wasn't going to argue with him. "Wait, where are the rest?" I asked. "Look, Chasity didn't make it. They are trying to make Hope and Luther leave, but Hope refuses to leave Chasity's side and Luther isn't just going to abandon Hope. The creatures were to much, got through the window, she was to slow, Cody and us killed the rest, and now she won't leave her side. Cody wanted me to come back and get you guys out of here." He took a deep breath. I could feel my eyes burn from tears, but I held them back. I'm so sorry Chasity.
Jason lead us outside and towards Cody's house. "Cody said he'd met us here if he made it." He looked at his watch, if it was even the right time anymore. "The bomb had an hour on it still, don't know why so long, but they should have about 30 minutes to get up here. If they don't, we move on." He said. Although it seemed a bit harsh, he had a good point.
15 minutes later
"Well god damn." Jason said with a chuckle. I looked up to see a few creatures following Cody and the rest. Matthew killed both of them and kept moving. After Sophia noticing they were back, she ran right for Matthew. "Met them half way?" I asked. "Go on, I'll stay with Scarlett and Savannah." He
I caught up to them and hugged each one of them. Hope came up. Her eyes were puffy and red. She was holding onto Luther, but once she saw me she hugged me, tight. I hugged her back and I could feel her sobbing into my shoulder. I stroked her black hair as she cried.
We walked up together with me holding Hope's hand going up to Jason and the rest. Jason hugged them also. "So one question for you guy's." Beau said. I was still holding onto Hope. "And that might be?" Jason asked. "What do we do now. Our only food source, water source, and camp in general is gone. Where do we go?" He asked. He had a very valid point. Where next?
