I don't know why I prefer doing the night shift
A large part of me thinks its because of the insomnia and my overall restless personality-
But being at the hospital from afternoon til night is oddly comforting.
Later that day after Suzettes scan, i sat in the changing room cleaning my shoe that...
got a little bloody after some guy with a really bad nose bleed came into the ER
"V! V! Oh my god I'm glad someone's here!" bryce said as he came in
My eyes widened and I said "where's the fire?"
He sat on the bench and said "guess who is scrubbing in on Monroe's patient that needs- wait for it- a septal myectomy?"
I smiled and raised a brow as i said "you , naturally?"
He chuckled and said "yeah! the attendings said ill be working on the heart while they work on the cardiopulmonary machine!"
"how much sucking up to james and tanaka did you have to do?" I laughed
"...not much! James said if i keep it up, he'll teach me cardiology and of course tanka will do the theracics part!"
"so you're seriously thinking about it being your speciality huh?" i said as i slipped my shoe on
"Its the best kind of surgery. challenging, but makes such a difference to peoples lives." he nodded
i smiled and said "and that is what you do best. this is one of the most complicated surgeries so im wishing you good luck any way."
"appreciated. even though these magic hands do all the work."
i rolled my eyes with a smile as i got up and said "I have some results to go and get, but be careful out there."
"sure thing V, Bryce careful lahela, that's my name." he chuckled and i laughed before patting his shoulder and heading to get suzettes works

As i left the changing room, I saw James down the hall with- none other than sienna trinh
I have a feeling this relationship is going to go in both of their favours. and i use the term relationship loosely because both james and sienna claim that they're just friends at the moment
