When I was a boy, I would never describe myself as being a 'social butterfly'.
But that changed, quite significantly after Louise left I suppose. From being a quiet child I turned into a rebellious child, by whatever definition fits, and I'm not a psychologist so I can't say that I know the ins of outs of why that happened, but I know that considering the stressor, it was bound to happen.
None of less, as rebellious as I was, I was still quiet. Kept myself to myself most of the time, but I wasn't afraid to be an... independent force, if you will.
But of course that changed, it had to change when it came to med school... but then there was another stressor, losing Tobias as a friend. And I think that was the final straw...making me feel the need to be an independent force, once again.
Then I met Valerie Valentine.
I suppose from the moment I met her I was faced with brutal honesty. Faced with reality, truth- someone who like me, wanted respect in a world where she had felt lost in. Her moxie, her being the biggest pain in the ass one could have and giving me day long headaches, migranes-
She was and still is completelyinsufferable.
But that's why I love her.
I respect her like no one else. And I trust her like no one else.
So if I don't have to go through these.... inconveniences alone, then I won't. As long as I can still be there for her in any and every way she needs me...
Then I suppose that's all I could want....
Speak of the devil, she left the bathroom, buttoning up her blouse and said "Personally, I think it's something the boys are doing themselves, and don't realize the harm they're doing to themselves by doing... whatever it is they're doing."
I raised a brow from where o was lying on my stomach hugging a pillow as I said "so an environmental factor they don't realise is toxic?"
"Yes. But im guessing a localised enviromental factor, Because -"
"otherwise The exposure rate would most likely be the same..."
"Exactly. the coach didn't get sick and other athletes that use the gym weren't affected either. The boys insist they don't use drugs-"
