I never would have thought that after so many years of living alone...being, alone, never really having friends in boston, just colleagues and the casual 'fling' here or there-
Never would i have imagined that id become so used to ones company...that without them, I fell completely lost.
And in the case of Valerie Valentine, its hard to not feel that way. every room she walks into, things suddenly become brighter, every word she speaks makes my heart flutter and my mind wander, every touch of her lips, her hands, make me full of desire and longing....

Lying in bed, my face towards the window, i hugged my pillow as i watched the sun rise over Boston, ready for whats forecast to be a sunny day without a cloud in the sky...and for the first time since my second suspension...this is how i've felt.

it's a strange feeling. to not have anything going on...to just be living in the moment as it truly is...and not having to be looking over my shoulder every moment of every day, waiting for something to go wrong....that's all i've truly wanted.
i did shift a little however, upon hearing the front door open, but before i got a chance to call out and sit up i heard a familiar yawn...
i smiled to myself and said "Valerie?"
"the one and the same."
my smile only growing i moved a little more onto my back, to where she was coming into the bedroom...
looking as beautiful as ever. curls tied into a pony tail, wearing white shorts leeve blouse, and a classic black skirt hitting across her thighs....
she smiled and said "Hi."
"hi..." i smiled in return
she took off her shoes and quickly came over into bed as we both laughed and i pulled her down to me, holding her close...
"Oh i'm exhausted!" she sighed as she wrapped her arms about my torso
i looked down to her and said "you woke up early and came all the way down here from your apartment just to go all the back to Edenbrook?"
