Valentine
Its been a couple of days since Ethan's suspension.
Well, today is actually day three. The second full day, that is, was yesterday.
And today happens to be Blooms meeting with the team, where hopefully he will explain just a little bit more about what he was thinking when he put Tobias in charge of the team.
James or harper would have been perfect!
Senior doctors, incredible doctors at that....and I would trust them a lot more than I trust Tobias Carrick. A man who E and I know will do anything for his career.
And has wanted to be on team, head of the team that is...for a long time.
Last year he nearly achieved that. Me nearly leaving the team with the ultimatum...
and now?
Ethan's job is on the line.
Which is why I have to keep things in check for him until he comes back.
I went back over o my desk as i got ready to go to work, but of course not without checking in on Ethan, who is....doing surprisingly well.
On the computers face time, I smiled as i started to do up my blouse and said to E "The problem with that doctor ramsey, is that im only a third year resident after all, im not qualified to take charge of a very important team."
he chuckled and said "frankly Valerie, while Tobias is qualified enough i don't think he has the capability to take care of such an important team."
I giggled and shook my head as i said "appreciate that. but you seem....oddly calm, about the whole thing."
He leaned back against the pillows where he was in bed and said "because i know i have my number one girl keeping an eye on things. and as it happens I''ll be back soon. this is just..."
"reflection time because you've been such a naughty boy?" i smiled
"yes. I know however that things will be just fine when my reflection time is over." he nodded
i took my hair down and said "yeah...trying to keep things in shape for you amica mea...i promise. i just miss you. here, and at work."
"i know rookie...and I miss you too. that's why i was thinking....how about we have a lunch date today? think you can spare your busy break?"
