Ethan's trial is only one full day away.
And over the last 3 days, I've tried to get something... anything, out of him that might help his defence.
But he either changes the topic, or just doesn't want to talk about it at all...

As Boston lay cascaded in the perfect shadows of the night, the streets below nothing but a murmur from up here in the apartment... after hours of trying to fall asleep to no avail, I found myself sat up in bed...and Ethan, fast asleep, head placed in my lap after he shuffled over here in his sleep, placing his arm about my lower waist....
All I could do, was watch him closely... playing with a tendril of thick brown hair... listening to his breathing...and revelling in his warm skin against mine...
Oh Ethan...

I sighed and moved just a little, but enough to cause a slight stir from E, who pulled himself closer to my form
"Valerie?" He spoke with rasp and tiredness lacing his voice
"I'm here..." I whispered as I stroked his hair
Stirring again, he looked up to me through hooded tired eyes and said "what... time Is it?"
"Early...I just couldn't sleep. That's all..."
Yawning a little, he sat up, eyes still sleepy as he said "come here then..."
He bundled me into his arms and I relaxed in his hold as he nestled down, placing a kiss to my forehead
