Expect the unexpected.

It's funny, really. Because that isn't the full quote.

The quote, in its full, is 'To expect the unexpected shows a thoroughly modern intellect.' One of Oscar Wildes best quotes but... as i said, the funny thing is that the quote is never remembered in its full...

And when you look at the quote in its full, you suddenly have a whole new perspective. But...I think even the strongest, most calculated of minds would find it impossible to expect the unexpected. If anything, in all honesty, its down to preparing ourselves for the aftermath of the unexpected once it hits us...

But even now, i'm not sure if any quote, mind game or psychology was going to help us...

"Doctor Valentine, as i'm sure you're aware, under circumstances such as these an investigation has to take its course in its full capacity. We need to know exactly what happened from you, your team memebers, and other people working on the case from the moment it became apparent Mr Warner had left Edenbrook grounds." Board member Madeline Cantwell said as i sat opposite her in a quite office.

"...I understand. But there is something i would like to say before we get started." i said as i sat up

"this will also go on record, doctor valentine."

I nodded before saying "The Chief, Doctor Ethan Ramsey, acted admirably, rightly and out a good judgement. so do the rest of the diagnostics team. I understand that he is the superior of us, and that is why I put his name first and foremost."

"So as your superior, and as the chief of this hospital, you believe that he acted in accordance of good judgement through out this whole case?" she raised a brow

i nodded and said "You ma'am. not a doubt in my mind."

"....Alright then. You may begin."

All I could do was stare at the wide open bay doors.
