-------it probably didn't went as it was planned, but haewon couldn't wait. some workers were called to clean it up while the rest just went back up to the conference rooms. after some words from mr min all of them went home, being way too tired from the lack of sleep.
they decided to let haewon sleep over again, too tired to deal with anything else. as they arrived at the mansion, everyone went inside their room without talking. haewon was left behind. she didn't really know in which room to go considering she had no idea who was in which room except for mark's.
being unsure on what to do, haewon stopped in the living room. not wanting to ask for anything she just decided to sleep on the couch without a blanket or pillow. they already took her in the least thing she wanted to do was burden them.
suddenly someone grabbed her wrist, turning her around. mark.
"mark what are you doing? you should sleep"
mark looked exhausted to say the least.
"so should you"
"i was about to"
he chuckled.
"where? on the couch?"
"actually yes. do you have another option?"
"that's the reason i'm talking to you right now dumbass. you're sleeping with me"
"i'm doing what now?"
mark groaned.
"not like that. you're sleeping in my room that's all"
haewon was too tired to argue, so she nodded and followed mark into his room. arriving there, mark went to his closet, taking out some shorts and a hoodie, throwing it to haewon.
"get dressed in the bathroom, i will be waiting here"
haewon nodded. in the bathroom she quickly changed into mark's clothes which were way too big on her. the hoodie being nearly knee long and the shorts very wide on her. but she didn't really care anymore. all she wanted to do was sleep.
back in mark's room, she was mark sitting on the edge of his bed, flipping through his phone. when haewon entered the room, he looked up, mouth parting. he didn't expect haewon to look this good in his clothes.
and for some reason he liked the idea of haewon wearing his clothes. it made something flutter inside of him and he liked that feeling. ever since he met haewon his world had changed into the better even though he didn't really want to acknowledge it. he really wanted haewon to be part of his life, but still was afraid to open up completely.
he was scared that he would scare haewon away. plus, he knew that haewon was the same as him, broken on the inside with a lot of issues regarding trust to others. mark needed to ask jeno and jaemin what they did to gain her trust, knowing haewon would trust them with everything.
but he still had another person in mind who needed her trust more than him. haechan. he knew that haewon wasn't mad at him anymore, yet they still had a lot to catch up with and things to talk about. another thing was her dad. the situation was really tense, him trying to do something could make her even more stressed.
and that's the least thing he wanted to do. all mark could do now was wait for her. and he was willing to do so.
"what are you looking at?"
haewon woke mark up from his day dream. he cleared his throat, not realizing he was staring at her.
"nothing just come lay down, i wanna sleep"
"alright then if you say so"
mark laid down on his side, giving haewon enough space on the other to lay down, which she did. after that mark turned off the lights and turned away from haewon. haewon on the other hand cuddled into her blanket. for some reason she was now wide awake even though she was sleepy two seconds ago.
many thoughts were inside her head. mainly about the person laying next to her. she had realized how much he had done for her, yet she never thanked him or did anything for him. at least not something that was enough for paying him back for the things he had done.
it somehow bothered her. she couldn't stand things like that but she also didn't know how with what she could pay him back. not like he was in bad situations where she could help him. it was always her who got into such situations.
nevertheless her mind couldn't let go of this. maybe it was also because she was kind of fond of him, even though she would never say that. but deep inside of her she knew that something was drawing her towards him which haewon didn't want to admit.
the silence was unbearable, yet peaceful. haewon had thought that mark was already asleep, when suddenly she heard some shuffling coming from behind her back. until she felt a warm presence on her back and an arm wrapped around her waist.
mark cuddled his face into her neck, pulling haewon close to his body. haewon froze, she didn't know how to react, nor whether mark was either awake, or had done this in his sleep without realizing. either way she didn't really complain about it, something about his touch making her melt into it.
mark mumbled something, before she could hear soft snores coming from him. she smiled before making herself comfortable in his embrace. her negative thoughts suddenly vanishing and she felt really sleepy again. she didn't really know what she wanted, but she was sure, that she definitely wanted mark to be part of her live. something about his presence made her feel safe.
maybe he wasn't as bad as i originally thought.
