the next few months were really hard for haewon. Mr. Min put her under hard training in order to fit his expectations for the gang.

she learned how to fight without weapons. she learned to read her opponent to see what his next move was in order to win the fight. she learned how to use knives precisely.

she learned how to use guns and how to read people's emotions and body language to see right through them.

but the hardest thing was: to always keep an emotionless face. haewon struggled a lot with it in the beginning. she wasn't allowed to show any kind of emotions no matter what the situation was.

"emotions make you weak. don't show weakness to your enemy's otherwise you are dead."

she never could cry when she got hurt during a fight, nor show that she was scared or nervous. haewon received tons of punishments at first since when she didn't do it right, her dad punished her right away by beating her up.

the members of Stray Kids helped her a lot during that time, but she never got really close to anyone of them. she had too many trust issues, too scared for the same thing to happen, that they would leave her.
but they still were important to her, she was thankful for them, they understood her.

*time skip*

now haewon turned 16 a month ago.

she completely changed, there was nothing that could remind you of her past self. there was nothing happy or cheerful about her anymore. all you could see was a blank face, a dark aura surrounded her, nearly scary. she haven't smile sincerely for four years now.

only one thing changed positive in her life. her dad didn't mistreat her anymore. at least not as bad as before. he wasn't that harsh to her anymore, instead being proud of her in his own cold way. y/n was now one of the top in the gang. smart, fast and good in combat or using weapons.

"haewon I need you to come with me, we are meeting the boss of a mafia called nct, we need them by our side when the east will attack."

with that they both made their way to an office. going inside haewon saw three man standing in front of her.

"Taeyong" your dad approached him. "oh Mr. Min it's a pleasure meeting you" the man whose name was Taeyong gave Mr. Min the hand. then he looked at haweon. "hello my name is Taeyong and these two behind me are Jaemin and Jeno"

haewon took a a glance of the two men behind her. "pleasure meeting you I'm haewon"

Taeyong, Jaemin and Jeno smiled at her but she didn't show any reaction getting the members by surprise. their gang was always cheerful and smiling at each other. they didn't expect a young girl to not show any kind of emotions towards them.

usually girls screamed or just were kind, but this was different, which made them curious. but they didn't pay much attention to it. she will come around, they thought.

Taeyong and Mr. Min started discussing some business to which haewon didn't really payed attention to. too lost in her own thoughts she didn't notice someone approaching her.

"helloo?"

someone snapped her out of her thoughts. looking up she looked into the eyes of the boy called Jaemin.

"what" haewon blinked a few times. " I asked if you want to get drinks for the bosses"

"I'm not sure if I should-"
a voice cut her off "haewon go with them I will take the usual"

sighing she looked at her dad. nodding she left the office with Jaemin and Jeno behind her. since they were in the building of the B.W. company Jeno and Jaemin trailed behind haewon like lost puppies.

"how long have you been in the gang?" Jaemin tried to start a conversation.

haewon just send him a glare making him flinch.

"I've been in the gang for four years now" she didn't want to start a conversation nor get to know him. she hasn't talked to anyone outside the gang since she became a member. in school she had friends but rarely talked.

but Jaemin being the open person he is didn't want to give up, he wanted to get to know her. he had a good heart and what he saw in her was someone who was lonely. afraid to open up to someone, and he wanted to change that.

the three arrived at a small coffee shop. she ordered her dad a coffee and a iced coffee for herself. as she was about to pay another person from behind handed the cashier already some money. turning around she saw Jeno smiling at her.

"I could have payed on my own you know"

"I know, just wanted to be nice" he playfully rolled his eyes.

"see it as a start of a friendship"

"who said i wanted to be friends with you"

"rude" Jaemin played being hurt while balancing three coffees at once.

"you know our gangs want to collaborate we should get along"

"getting along doesn't mean being friends"

after that Jeno and Jaemin didn't really know what to say. they exchanged looks. maybe she didn't want to be friends yet. but they were both sure that they wanted to change it. they knew that they will come more often at the company since Taeyong wanted a contract. Both gangs wanted to be partners in crime.

both gangs wanted to be able to count on each other when one was attacked or needed help. it would be a benefit for both sides. and since they would come over more often, they wanted to make sure to change haewon's opinion of not becoming friends.

ever since that day they always started conversations with haewon. at first she tried to avoid them or tried to ignore them but quickly realized that it wasn't working. after some time she slowly started talking to them.

haewon slowly started enjoying talking to them. not that she ever told them that, but they also noticed. She talked normal with them, seeming less cold and a bit more relaxed than the first time they met.

sometimes you even saw a ghost of a smile on her face but vanishing right after. haewon was happy to have friends she could be open to. she got the feeling that she didn't need to hide anything. they knew about her dad, the gang, and they didn't judge.

they started getting closer and closer. the three of them got best friends. they trusted each others with their lives, telling each other secrets. even haewon told them some of hers telling them about her background story with her mom and brother not telling them the name of him.

even then, Jaemin and Jeno didn't judge, but they surprised her by hugging her. she haven't feel any kind of affection in years which made her stiff at first, but she quickly relaxed.

they hung out every time they could, doing this and that. haewon never thought she could ever get that close to anyone as she got to them. but she was grateful that they were there for her. that they didn't let her in the dark hole she was before they came around.

Jeno and Jaemin made her feel wanted, like she was enough.

and she treasured this friendship.
