song: meet me in my dreams - after romeo
i will tell you again when to start the song :)
haechan's pov"hello I'm your teacher today since Mr. Kim isn't here today"
weird. Mr. Kim is normally the type of teacher who is never sick and always on time. if he wouldn't come he normally send us an email or something, but today he was just, gone.
not that I would really care he is probably just sick. and he is only a teacher anyways.
not really caring what the teacher said I took out my phone scrolling through instagram leaning back on my chair.
the teacher gave us an assignment which was due next week. a partner project for the time Mr. Kim was gone. little did the students know that they would never see their teacher again. I didn't really looked for a partner knowing I would just do with either renjun, jaemin or jeno.
"so we are partners again huh?" renjun.
"sure so what's the topic?"
"you didn't listen again did you" renjun sighed.
then he started to explain me what we exactly need to do and split the work. it's nothing new that I worked with renjun since jaemin and jeno often were missing at school. no one really knows why they are gone so often but even the teachers seem to know something since they never really get any punishment for missing school.
class ended and me and renjun made our way out of the classroom.
they usually aren't in school a few times a month. they never told anyone where they are, not even us which makes me kind of mad, but I learned to live with it. if they are ready I'm sure they will tell us, we are best friends since I moved here when I was 10.
----start the song from here :)----
we immediately clicked, they were my first friends in this school. they helped me with everything which I'm really thankful for. they helped me to get happy again with my mother. It was a long time ago but a small scar from my old home was still there.
it was a dark past I tried to forget. my father, the horrible life me and my mother had, how we had suffered. my sister
suddenly I stopped in my tracks making renjun bumping into me.
"why did you stop?"
shit. I nearly forgot about my sister. how much she suffered. and we left her behind. how she was doing now? was she even still alive? I didn't know anything about her anymore since mom cut all of the contact and we moved so far away.
I didn't had an address nor something else that could have helped me trying to reach or find her. I don't even know how she looks like now. It's been six years already.
"I'm fine just had something on my mind"
"whatever so we going to start the project today?"
"sorry I need to help my mom today with some things, tomorrow?"
"fine by me, the snacks are your treat then"
3rd person pov
rolling his eyes haechan made his way home. the whole way he had only one thing on his mind. what happened to haewon? was she okay?
unlocking the door he was greeted with the smell of food. smiling he made his way into the kitchen seeing his mother cooking. but his smile fell when he thought of his sister. could she experience the same family love as he did right now? had their father changed?
his mother turned around seeing her son lost in his thoughts.
"what's up sweetie?" she asked him.
"what happened to my sister?"
she was shocked at what came out of his mouth. she hadn't spoken about haewon with haechan for nearly five years, and didn't expect him to bring her up again after all the time that had passed. secretly, she hoped that he had forgotten her already. she felt bad for leaving her daughter behind with an abusive father, alone.
but it was the only way out of this hole. she would never go back there, even if it was for her daughter. too many scars from the past events.
"I-I don't know what you are talking about" she quickly turned around continuing cooking.
"my sister. haewon. the one we left behind when we moved, what happened to her, is she okay?"
"haechan I don't know and I honestly don't fucking care. we left this shit hole we once called our home to live a better life. to finally be happy. haewon wasn't home when we left and there is nothing we can do about it. I don't know where she is now"
the mother snapped. but after she said all of that, she quickly covered her mouth, shocked at what she just said.
"she is your goddamn daughter and my twin of course you should fucking care" haechan yelled back at her. he couldn't believe what his mother said about his sister, her daughter. he was hurt.
he didn't know his sister anymore. they were so close when they were young, best friends. no one could tear them apart. he haven't seen his favorite person for six years. he wanted to know how she looked like now, how she lived, did she change?
haewon was his family, and he nearly forgot her, but hearing how his own mother, the person who gave birth to him and haewon, the person who kept them save for so long didn't even want to know anything about her own daughter.
the fact that she left her with an abusive father made it hurt the most. maybe she was already dead, and haechan would never know, and there was nothing he could do about it.
he took his backpack and made his way upstairs into his room. closing the door he fell on his bed. closing his eyes he started thinking about what happened. he was angry at his mother, completely not understanding how a mother could say something so cruel about her own flesh and blood.
he worried about his sister, he really did but there was nothing he could do about it. it hurt him knowing he couldn't do anything to get to his sister, he didn't even know where she was. he really missed her.
lost in his thoughts, he drifted off to sleep.
would he ever see her again?
