２．７ - ｆａｍｉｌｙ

the next day haewon woke up to an empty house. everyone left already doing their work. since she had no school that day she decided to stay in bed for a little bit longer. she used the time to think about how she wanted to tell her dad that haechan was donghyuck.

in the end she decided for the easiest way possible, just being straightforward. haewon knew that her father wouldn't listen to her otherwise so she better make it quick. haewon made her way downstairs to get some food before going on a run.

she took her headphones and an apple before already making her way outside. the run was something haewon really needed. the fresh air filling up her lungs, just running without a specific destination, no one told her what to do or where to go. for once in a while, she felt free.

no responsibilities, no work, no people. that's why haewon loved going for a run, for once in a while not being under so much pressure. after running for a while she arrived at a park. completely being out of breath, she sat down on the swings.

it was pretty peaceful despite a few cars that were driving by. haewon sighed. she didn't wanna go back knoing she wouldn't leave the building without new bruises. nevertheless it needed to be done, otherwise it would all end in a chaos and everybody knew it.

arriving at home she went to do a quick workout before showering. eventually she started getting ready to head over to the building her dad worked in. haewon quickly called him while she was on her way.

"hello?"

"hi dad, uh- i need to talk to you about something important can we talk in private? maybe in one of the rooms where it's really quiet"

"well i have nothing to do right now anyways, be at room 012 in five minutes if not i won't talk to you, understood?"

"yes"

now or never huh.

as she entered the room her dad was already waiting for her.

"so what do you wanna tell me?"

"remember the dreamies?"

"yeah, the new recruits. what's with them? bad news?"

"do you remember haechan?"

"i think so, what the fuck do you wanna tell me, now come to the point"

"well haechan is kinda his nickname and i thought it would be better if you would know is real name"

haewon started to get nervous, her dad started to get angry at her. this wasn't good.

"alright just tell me i don't have all fucking day woman"

"lee donghyuck"

mr min stopped in his tracks. shortly thinking whether she made a joke or not, but it seemed like she didn't.

"lee donghyuck as in your brother?"

"yes"

he was beyon furious that no one told him before that his son was right in front of him. it wasn't because he wanted to see his son, nor because he was happy he found him. but because he hated him and his now ex-wife with all his might. haechan being here meant that his mom was also somewhere.

and mr min wanted revenge for her just leaving him behind with a burden he didn't need. haewon. blinded with rage he came up to haewon, pressing her against the wall, putting his hands around her neck starting to apply pressure on it.

"why wasn't i informed about this before?"

"b-because we didn't know how you'd react-"

haewon started to get troubles breathing. but her dad didn't have the intention to stop anytime soon. full of rage, he threw her onto the floor, starting to scream at her.

"HOW COULD YOU KEEP THIS FROM ME? I AM YOUR FUCKING FATHER"

haewon didn't know how to respond. it didn't matter what her respond would be, she would have been in trouble either way. frightened, she put her arms in front of her trying to shield herself from her dad. yet, that didn't stop her dad from beating her up recklessly.

at some point, haewon's body stopped reacting or flinching from the constant attacks she got, but instead she started to see black dots which clouded her vision.

"STOP IT!"

was the last thing haewon heard before everything went black.
