after finishing her day dreaming and all the scenarios, she decided that it was time for her to leave and go back home. she still had to solve the conflict between her and her dad, and it wouldn't get better just because she was gone for a few days.
haewon decided to not tell anyone, knowing they would try to talk her out of that. but she wanted to get it over with. having a conflict longer than necessary wasn't really her thing. she was already at the door when someone came.
"where are you going?"
"home"
"but you can't go yet"
"why shouldn't i go haechan? i live there"
"because dad-"
"because dad what? only because i leave home for a few days won't make him go easier on me. it has always been like this and i'm used to it alright? let me solve this shit for your benefits if you don't want to die when you're in the same room, and also for 'mom' don't want another dead body"
"you think he would do that?"
"positive. if he is in rage and the same he was when he found out about you, he won't hesitate. only because they were married doesn't make him go easy on her in any way. she left, and knowing they both live in the same town makes things complicated"
"about mom...do you want to see her?"
this caught her off guard. haewon didn't really consider meeting her mom anymore. she just lived with the thought that her mom left her for a reason and instead hated her, and she was okay with that. a lot of things had changed since then, but did she really want to see her after everything that happened?
"no"
"but she is your mom-"
"and i said no haechan, i don't want to see her please leave it. maybe someday, but not now"
haechan was frustrated, nevertheless he accepted her decision. he just got his sister back, he couldn't afford losing her again. but their bond bothered him. he wanted the bond they had when they were kids. soulmates, inseparable.
"hey haewon?"
"what hyuck?"
"wanna catch up sometime?"
this comment made her smile instantly. she appreciated his effort into getting their sibling bond back, she wanted it as well. but there were still a few things to do before she could do that.
"let me talk to dad first, when that is over i will get back to your offer alright?"
"thank you"
he was grateful that haewon wanted to give him this chance to make up.
haewon left the mansion afterwards, being happy that no one else got in her way. after around 30 minutes she arrived at the building. before she went inside, she decided to call her father to make sure if he was mad that they would go somewhere else.
"hello"
"hey dad, can we talk?"
"yeah whatever i was just done. come in conference room 3"
haewon did as he said, quickly going inside the room. in there was just her dad sitting in front of a table while doing something on his laptop. he looked up when she came in. luckily, he didn't look like he was about to blow up.
"look father i don't-"
"you don't what? you couldn't tell your own father about his son? that he is right in front of me?"
"i didn't know how to tell you"
haewon's gaze was on the floor. she didn't know what to say, it was complicated, scared of her dad to say the least.
"you know what, i don't even care anymore haewon. but if you ever do something like that ever again i won't promise you anything, not even your own safety understood?"
haewon looked up in shock. of course she knew that he meant every word he just said, he just hasn't said something to her as gentle as he did now in forever. haewon didn't even remember that her father could sound like this. she didn't know he was capable of being 'nice'. but she decided to leave it and don't ask what happened, scared that he would blow up on that.
"of course father"
she bowed and left the room. after that she proceeded to leave the building to finally go home. arriving, she decided to take a bath, she finally wanted to relax for a while after all the things that happened the past days. while the water was running she took off her clothes, when she suddenly realized that she wasn't even wearing her own.
remembering that these actually belonged to mark, and that she left her own at their house. she shruggred it off, deciding to wash mark's clothes and get hers the next time she was over. haewon turned on some music to play in the background while being in the bathtub.
laying there, her mind drifted off to different things. she still had to talk to haechan, their sibling bond was pretty weak, and that's not how they wanted it to be. but she didn't really know how to approach him even though she knew that she could trust him the same as before. haewon didn't really know why she was so sure about trusting him as much as before, but something about her brother and their old bond made her already trusting him enough.
but there was still one thing she haven't thought about. what was with mark? what did he think about haewon? was there any possibility of them being friends, or even more? or did mark hate her and never liked her anyways?
mark you are you driving me crazy
