even though it seemed like haewon wasn't surprised at all, she was shocked on the inside. never in a million years would she have thought that out of all people, he would be here.

In front of her eyes, alive, surprised eyes locking with hers.

He looked hurt by haewon's words. But she just looked at him with a stoic face. you couldn't see a single emotion in her face.

"we don't even have the same last name what makes you think that we are related"

The whole class seemed to agree with her words. haewon turned her head to look to jaemin and jeno. Their mouths wide open, still shocked over the information. Maybe no one else believed haechan, but jeno and jaemin saw your reaction when you looked at haechan.

Now they knew. Haechan was the brother who left with your mom seven years ago. And they knew how hurt she was. Someone she once thought would stay by her side left when it was hard.

Maybe not because he wanted, but he was gone. And seeing him must be hell for her. She was trying hard to keep all of the emotions inside.

Taking a seat next to him haewon kept her head down. Jaemin just patted her back, giving her a small smile, leaving her alone knowing that she needed time alone now. The class ended. haewon slowly packed her things, she was still in her own world completely lost in her own thoughts.

Jaemin and jeno exchanged looks. They were extremely worried about her. She wasn't herself and she usually was, even if she was stuck in a dangerous situation, she always had everything under control. But this time, she was completely lost.

They went through the halls to her locker. She was putting her books away when someone came to them.

"why are you lying"

"About what"

"I'm your brother haewon, we both know it why are you lying about it"

"you're not my brother donghyuck, I lost my brother seven years ago"

She snapped closing her locker harshly. the boys flinched at her sudden outburst. She was beyond mad and couldn't control her emotions anymore.

Haechan kept silent. He looked down at his feet. His eyes filled with guilt.

With that haewon turned around walking away.

Jaemin and jeno stood before him preventing him from going any further.

"what are you two doing let me go to her"

"leave her alone now. She needs space"

"but she is my sister just let me go"

"what do you think she is feeling right now? You left her when it was hard. She thought she would never see you again, she was alone"

he looked back at the ground. It must have been hard for her. With their abusive dad with no one to help her.

Jeno took a look at jaemin, then facing haechan again.

At that moment jaemin stood up walking away. Everyone was confused by his actions when he suddenly stopped at a table where a girl was sitting. He started talking to her.

After a while he came back, packing his things.

With that they went away and sat down next to the mysterious girl. renjun scoffed.

Everyone at the table looked at him in shock.

Haechan clicked his tongue turning his head to face haewon. jaemin was annoying her while jeno laughed at them.

"she doesn't want to talk to me"

"but you are her brother?"

"I LEFT her seven years ago. I left her alone with our so called dad"

"but your mother took you with you, you had no choice at that time"

Haechan didn't answer. He knew he had no choice back then, but he felt extremely guilty. haewon wasn't the same bright person she was seven years ago. She was so different now.
