１．９ - ｂａｒ

the sun was slowly setting when haewon went downstairs. the guys were already in the car waiting for her. she stepped out of the building making her way into the car.

they drove off as soon as she sat down.

finally the time has come. the two of them needed to show what they were capable of and that they could be the key to the most difficult quest. they may not like each other but they definitely wanted the profit they would get from the mission.

the mission wouldn't work if the wolves and nct wouldn't work together. this is why this small mission was also very important today. it should show the teamwork. besides, they really needed this man for information.

"haewon we are here"

a voice brought her back to reality. it was seungmin. haewon nodded before getting out of the car. changbin then drove off leaving mark and haewon standing there.

"so one goes first?"

"yes go in already i will come in about five minutes"

haewon nodded and went inside the bar. inside the bar haewon made her way to the bar sitting down. she adjusted the small ear piece before putting her hair over her ears to cover it even more.

"hey taeil, do you hear me?"

"loud and clear"

"do you see the man anywhere?"

"not yet if one of us three sees him we will tell you"

"fine"

haewon turned around looking at the crowd. it's not like she could get drunk now so she had no other choice than to go into the crowd. she started randomly dancing to the music. looking around she found mark sitting on the bar stool with a whiskey in his hand.

locking gazes he just gave you a quick nod which you returned. ten minutes passed before an excited voice rang in your ears.

"geez chenle no need to scream"

"sorry mark. anyways we found the man. he just entered the bar"

"what is he wearing?"

"a dark blue long sleeved shirt and black jeans. also his hair is dark blonde he looks like he is in his thirty's"

"thanks chenle"

you looked around not quite finding him.

"haewon i found him"

haewon looked at mark still sitting on the bar. he nodded to his left. following his gaze you found the man you were looking for. he was flirting with a girl before she went off. this was her chance.

haewon made her way to the bar. she casually ordered a cocktail not paying attention to the man on purpose so it looked like she would go right after she got her drink.

"hey babygirl"

the nickname made her cringe but she went along with it. she turned around to face him a small smile plastered on her face.

"hey handsome"

she smirked at him. he returned the gesture leaning with one hand on the bar.

"i think i'm going to throw up"

it was mark. haewon tried her best to not show how bad she wanted to rip his head off that moment. instead she sat down next to the man. starting a conversation with him. during the conversation the man let his hand slowly stroke her thigh.

which didn't go unnoticed by a certain person. mark on the other side of the bar was beyond mad. he wanted to rip the head off of this man, and he didn't know why. he just met haewon and they both hated each other so what was the reason he even felt mad at that gesture in the first place?

but he couldn't do anything about it now anyways. all he needed to do was to look at every move the man made. after a few minutes haewon and the man got up and went to the exit. haewon trailed behind the man quickly turning around to face mark who was already starring at her.

none of them spoke nor made any gesture, but they had something planned right after locking their eyes. haewon left the bar.

"taeil can you see where they went"

"you know we are here too right"

"yes jisung but saying one name is faster now hurry up"

"finee. if you go outside go to the left then cross a street and the alley on the left"

"good thanks, changbin, seungmin can you go there from the other side to make sure he doesn't escape? but don't interrupt until you hear any shots, i will take the front"

"got it, be careful"

mark rolled his eyes. he wasn't small he knew how to handle business. he hurried, because lord knows what was going on there right now. he needed both of them alive in order to complete the mission.

yet there was something in his heart which won't let go. a weird feeling. mark didn't know what it was but he pushed it aside for now.

all that mattered was to complete the mission, right?

arriving there mark hid behind the wall ears dropping on the conversation. he couldn't really hear what the two of you were saying but when he heard whispering his blood started to boil. was he trying to seduce her?

but shortly after he heard a groan and someone falling on his knees. turning around the corner he smirked at the scene. haewon was standing in front of the man who was groaning in pain.

"kicked him right between the legs huh"

"couldn't stand him for a damn second longer"

mark went to them kneeling in front of the man looking at him. standing up he cracked his fingers and punched him in the face with all his might. the man blacked out from the force.

"you didn't need to go that hard"

"i know but today was way too boring he was way too easy to kidnap it's boring i have expected at least some sort of guards"

"i guess he is just even more dumb than we thought"

haewon shrugged. he wasn't wrong with that. seungmin and changbin came to tie him up and put him in the car. on the way back no one spoke a word, just changbin and seungmin making small conversations at the front.

mark and haewon didn't know what to talk about. haewon wanted to thank him, because even though they barely did something she felt that the teamwork between them was really good, but her pride wouldn't let her.

she didn't even know why she wanted to thank him in the first place.

they hate each other, right?

but there was another thing, they barely needed to do something to get the man. was it all a trap? and what would her dad think? they didn't really prove any teamwork yet.
