３．４ - ｃｌｏｓｅｒ

the next morning mark woke up before haewon. disoriented he wanted to turn around before realizing his arm was laying on something, or rather someone. opening his eyes he realized that this person was haewon. at first he was confused why she was laying in his arms, until he remembered last night.

shortly before he fell asleep, he decided to make a move, and cuddle her. in case she didn't want that she could have easily slipped out of it, but she didn't. the thought of that made him smile instantly. not really wanting to end this, he ended up laying back down and fell back asleep.

after around an hour later, haewon woke up from her sleep. same as mark, she was confused at first which arm was wrapped around her waist, until she remembered what happened. thinking about the situation she was currently in, she didn't know if she wanted to get up before he wakes up or if she wants to stay until he wakes up, knowing it would probably get pretty awkward.

but ended up deciding to stay in bed since it was really comfortable. she closed her eyes once again. she wasn't sleeping anymore, but staying in bed for a little more wouldn't hurt right? suddenly they heard a camera.

confused, haewon looked up. at the door, there were renjun, haechan and chenle snickering at something on renjun's phone. their snickering stopped when they realized the eyes on them. and haewon looked really mad.

"i'm gonna kill you"

they guys seemed frightened, but it quickly changed when haewon tried to get up but the grasp around her waist suddenly tightened and she was brought back to bed.

"what are you guys doing here?"

mark. was he awake the whole time? his voice was raspy, when he tried to open his eyes he squinted his eyes due to the light.

"we took a picture of you two love birds so you can't deny it anymore"

"love birds?"

mark looked at haewon, noticing the position they were in. he took his arm off her waist. his body told him not to, wanting to feel the warmth of her body again, but he forced himself to not give in. at least not when the members were there. haewon on the other hand was kind of sad, not knowing whether the gesture was some sort of act towards her or whether it really happened on accident in his sleep.
either way she felt a knot in her stomach, but decided to not say anything.

"we're not a couple ya know"

"yeah just because you a coward"

"the fuck i'm not"

"sure not we see what you doing there"

Haechan winked.

"alright that's it"

mark got up while the other one's started to run away. haewon rolled her eyes. boys. suddenly she heard a pitch high scream, almost like a dolphin. was that...chenle?

either way she also decided to get up. her stomach already growled. sleepy, she walked down the stairs into the kitchen. she heard some sort of arguing coming from the living room. are they still fighting over what happened?

confused she took a look in the living room, her expression went serious. do they really play now video games as if they were not just chasing each other like seconds ago? either way she went back into the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee. sitting down on the counter, she took her phone and aimlessly started scrolling through social media while driving her coffee in peace. well, as much peace as you can get with 23 boys in one house.

it was pretty peaceful until someone came in, johnny. she already sensed, that he was up to something based on his grinning face.

"do i have something on my face?"

"nah just you two love birds are really cute, when are you going to make it official?"

haewon was confused.

"what do you mean?"

"oh you know just the cuddling and all"

he winked at her. haewon's cheeks got red.

"you saw it??"

"i didn't only see it, i have it, like everyone else in this house except for you apparently"

he then proceed to show haewon the nct group chat. in the group chat was a picture of haewon and mark sleeping while mark's arm was around her waist, cuddled into her back. everyone found it extremely cute, being happy for them, haewon's face also had a faint smile, until she read one message from mark.

'we're not a couple guys, stop it'

it was the truth, but for some reason it hurt.

"don't worry, he will come around sooner or later, even though you two are too dumb to admit it, everyone can see that you two have a thing for each other"

this time, haewon didn't even deny the thought of it. instead, she just nodded, completely lost in her thoughts.

"just don't rush it. we all know you two have problems going on, take your time and everything will be good"

comforting, johnny patted her head. haewon was like a little sister to him now, like to everyone else in nct. everyone liked her and saw her as one of them. they were a family. the fact that she was haechan's biological sister and everyone saw that also mark was overprotective of her, made the members like her even more.

after that, johnny left the kitchen, leaving haewon alone with her thoughts. she never considered having a relationship one day. mainly because of all her trauma she went through. from her mom leaving with her brother, to her dad becoming more and more aggressive towards her, leaving her with bruises constantly.

also adding the thing with the gang. haewon could have never imagined to talk someone outside of the gang, knowing it would get dangerous for them. but also never really thought about letting someone break down her walls. yes, jeno and jaemin had done that before, but not in a romantic way.

could it really be that i catch feelings for him? but would there really be a future for us?

guess we are getting some fluff content :)

slowly i'm starting to think that this book will get longer than i intended it to be.

there are still a lot of things they gotta figure out but we will see how long i will be writing :)
