after around two hours, haewon woke up again, but mark didn't come back yet. instead, she heard some shouting downstairs. haewon went into the bathroom and washed her face, before looking at herself in the mirror.

haewon's face was covered in bruises and this time she couldn't hide them. they were pretty deep so they needed to have a bandage over them which she couldn't cover with clothes or make up. sighing she made her way downstairs, thinking the shouting sounded familiar.

and she was right. in the living room were all of the dreams united sitting on the couch playing video games while shouting at each other. still having a headache haewon first of all went into the kitchen getting herself a cup of water. her throat was pretty dry.

after that she decided to check up on the others in the living room wanting to say hi. when she entered everyone gasped.

"haewon?"

"omg haewon what happened to you??"

"haewon what did you do?"

haewon rolled her eyes playfully.

"it's nothing just got into an argument with my dad that's all, oh and haechan if I were you I would stay out of dad's sight for the next few days"

"what happened"

haechan was now really concerned cupping his sister's face looking at her bruises. haewon shortly explained what she did and that their dad wasn't really found of it which leaded to him being aggressive. leaving out some parts here and there to not let them be any more concerned.

after that haechan and the other dreamies forced her to sit with them in the living room watching them playing video games to what haewon agreed. it turned out to be a great time, even though haewon's headache kind of got worse due to them being loud and screaming, but she didn't want them to stop, they had way too much fun and haewon didn't want to break their moment.

after a while they heard the front door open. all of them turned their heads revealing mark who just entered the mansion. he looked pretty exhausted and stressed not realizing the dreamies and haewon' presence yet.

sighing he went with his hand trough his hair turning his head towards the living room, suddenly stopping in his tracks when seeing all of them sitting on the couch not expecting all of them there.

especially not haewon from who he had thought that she was still in his room sleeping.

"...hello?"

everyone started greeting him, but he only saw one person. haewon. she also looked up from her phone looking directly into his eyes. but she quickly turned away, too embarrassed to hold the eye contact.

something inside marks heart started to ache for some reason, he didn't know what it was but his body wanted to move to haewon. mark tried to hide it because the members were around. he was known for being emotionless most of time after all except towards the members. and haewon wasn't part of nct.

no one really noticed the change of mark's behavior except for jaemin and jeno. they had known haewon for years and since they spend almost every day together they had learned to read her stoic face.

mark wasn't any different, they had the same mindset and way of expressing. they had a lot in common, so both of them saw the short concern in his eyes when he looked at haewon. it was only short lived, but it was there.

jaemin and jeno shared a look, thinking the same thing. they wanted to make it happen. they saw how much mark and haewon actually cared about each other. the other may not see it yet, but it was there.

they knew they couldn't push them into a relationship, but what they knew was that the needed their time alone to talk and to get their walls down completely. right now, these two trusted each other without knowing they did. their ego was too big to acknowledge it.

jaemin nodded at jeno.

"haewon I think you should go and lay down a bit, you're not recovered yet"

"yeah go and rest, mark do you mind taking her?"

mark glanced at haewon who was already looking at him before turning to jaemin.

"sure"

haewon nodded and got up to go and follow mark back into his room. her headache had got worse and all she wanted was to sleep.

in his room she plopped down on his bed making herself comfortable. all she wanted was to just go to sleep again and hope that when she wakes up, that the pain will be gone. mark on the other side was worried.

"so.. how are you?"

mark cleared his throat.

"well could be better I guess, some parts still hurts"

haewon decided to tell him the truth knowing he was able to see right trough her anyways. it was easier to tell him the truth right away.

"what exactly hurts"

mark's eyes held concern in them. then haewon remembered that he just got a mission which was quite important since it was even to the benefits of her dad. not wanting to stress him even more she decided to brush the pain off.

"just my head and the bruises are feeling a bit weird, but they are just healing. all I need is some sleep right now don't worry about it"

mark wasn't really convinced, but decided to leave it and give her some time to rest and recover.

"alright then try to sleep princess"
