Recovery- Loki x Reader (Female)

Your Pov:

You and Loki made your way downstairs undisturbed. Loki was still laughing over the whole Goldilocks thing, which made you laugh too. You both stumbled into the "danger zone" as you called it. Your room was your safe place, it was quiet and calming, filled with your favorite things. down here, everything was too structured to be comfortable, you only ever came downstairs so no one knew you were dead.

Once you got downstairs, everyone was staring at you. You quickly realized they were looking at Loki and not at you, apparently they never heard him laugh, or see him with almost worries.

You and Loki made your way to the kitchen. Everyone already ate breakfast like 2 hours ago so you had to make something for yourselves. Luckily for you two, you were a pretty good cook. You started out with cutting up potatoes to turn into breakfast potatoes. Loki was sitting on the counter as you did this, he did not want to get in the way, and also he didn't know how to cook. You cut up the potatoes into squares and seasoned them to your liking; paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. You put them on the stove and got to cooking eggs, you cooked them how you liked for you and Loki. You also cut up some fruit to eat on the side.

Once you were done, Loki carries the plates of food to the table while you carried your drinks, you both decided on apple juice. When Loki set your plates down, he pulled out a chair for you, you didn't know it was for yourself, so you went to go sit in a different chair, he just stared at you.

"I pull the chair out, you sit in it. It is called courtesy and being a gentleman." He smiled at you. You quickly gave him a 'thank you' and started to eat. Everyone was still staring at you, so you decided to speak up, which was odd for you.

"What are you guys staring at, have you never seen two people eat before?" you scolded at them.

"Yes we have genius, we were just deciding what to do with you two while we are on a mission. Fury told us he needs everyone possible, except Loki, he still doesn't trust him." Tony told you. You almost choked on the potato you were eating. You have never been on a mission before, but the possibility of even going sent you into a state of panic. You don't know how Loki sensed this, but he did. He put a hand on your back and started rubbing it reassuringly. You couldn't say any words, so you thanked him with your eyes.

"I know you don't want to go with, but Fury ordered everyone to, even you. Metal Man and Bird brain tried to argue with him, but he wouldn't listen. Personally, I don't want you going either, but we have no choice. I'm sorry y/n." Tony had said.

"W-Where's the m-mission?" you stuttered out. Suddenly, you were no longer hungry so you pushed your plate away from you and brought your full attention to Tony. He hesitated before he answered you.

"A Hydra base in........Stuttgart, Germany." you shuddered at his words, that's the base you were kept in.

You quickly got up and stumbled to the roof, it felt like you couldn't breathe. You heard everyone trying to talk to you, but it sounded like they were underwater. When you got to the roof, you sat on the ground with your knees to your chest, rocking back and forth. You shook your head back and forth.

'No, no, no, no, no, no I can't go back there. What if they find me? What if they get me again? I won't survive a second time' you thought. You were sobbing at this point, you couldn't catch a breath. You were starting to hyperventilate when the roof door flew open. The door on the roof was connected to a box that connected to the compound. You were currently sitting behind it, so if anyone came on the roof, they wouldn't see you.

You quickly clamped your hand over your mouth because you didn't want anyone to find you. That didn't work out well, you felt someone wrap their arms around you, but you didn't know who. You tried to fight your way out of them at first, but failed rather quickly.

After a couple of minutes, you figured out it was Loki who was holding you, you could smell the lavender on his shirt from your room.

"I-i-" you were cut off by Loki shushing you. He didn't want you to say a word until he was sure you were okay. You were cradled in his lap, he had his right arm around your body while his left hand was running through your hair.

Your breathing was finally starting to settle down, and the tears were slowing. Loki didn't pressure you into talking, he just held you until you were ready to tell him.

"I-I'm sorry, I j-just don't want to go back t-there." you stuttered out. A new wave of tears came out when you thought about going back there again, you knew you wouldn't survive a second time. If Tony didn't get there when he did, you would be dead, you were sure of it.

"You are okay now, you are safe. I will do everything I can to make sure you do not go back there." he said in a quiet voice, he didn't want to startle you. You didn't say anything after that, you said nothing after that and just wept in his arms until you were ready to go back inside.

Loki noticed that you shivered and conjured up a warm, fuzzy blanket from your room for you. He laid it on you both and you sat there, enjoying the fresh air. When you were finally ready to go inside, it was mid afternoon.

Loki and you made your way inside, you did not want to weep in your bed all day, so you decided to blow off some steam.

You made your way to your room and changed into a black t-shirt with your favorite band on it. You paired it with a pair of black workout leggings and your favorite pair of tennis shoes. You put your hair into a low ponytail, and slipped on your apple watch.

You didn't want to blow off steam how you normally did, so instead of going to the actual training room, you went to the one Wanda used. This one was meant to stand both of your powers, so you let loose. There were already objects in there that were meant to be thrown around, so you didn't care if you went too hard.

You were in there for awhile, and you got to the point that you were starting to get tired. You kept pushing yourself even though it was against your better judgement. You used all of your powers that you knew of, when you got too tired out, your hands started to release this power from your hands that looked like Wanda's. You had never used them before and you started to get scared. There was a wall of mirrors in the room and you went to look at yourself and you saw that your eyes were glowing white.

You started to feel dizzy and started floating. Your powers shot out of your hands and chest, incasing the room in a white glow. You screamed in pain, it was the worst you had ever felt.

As soon as you were done screaming, you fell to the ground with a thud, nothing breaking your fall. You groaned in pain and opened your eyes as much as you could. You could still barely open them but what you could see were shapes of everyone on the team running to your side, they probably heard you scream. You tried to speak but nothing came out.

Then you were incased in nothing but darkness.
