chapter 18

Your Pov:

You were sitting on the helicopter, shaking. You were terrified. You were back with the person you never wanted to see again, the person who hurt you more than anyone else, you felt helpless.

Strucker started talking to you, but you weren't responding, you couldn't. You couldn't even bring yourself to look at him, but you could tell he was getting annoyed with you. After awhile of not responding, he was finally fed up.

Smack!

Your left cheek felt like it was on fire. You still didn't look at him though, you still looked down. He harshly pulled your face upwards with his hand, making you look at him.

"When I am talking to you, you should look at me!" he spat at you. When he had his hands on you, it was like you forgot how to breathe. When he finally let go of you, you couldn't help but let a tear fall. Strucker did not like this because in the next instant, you saw darkness.

3rd Person Pov:

Everyone was still at the base, feeling helpless. Although, Tony was enraged. 'How could they let y/n go with him?' he thought. He was mad at everyone, not thinking clearly. He made his way into the base, ignoring everyone around him.

He got inside the base and saw guards lying on the ground lifeless, the team, looking defeated, but everyone besides Steve looked confused.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED! YOU GUYS WERE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HER, INSTEAD SHE IS WITH THAT ANIMAL!" Tony yelled at them. Everyone looked towards Steve, and Tony just connected the dots, but still did not know the whole story.

He lunged at Steve, knocking him off his feet, Steve just let him. Tony kept throwing punch after punch at Steve. No one was stopping him until they noticed that he was losing consciousness.

Thor, Bruce, Vision, Pietro, and Clint were making their way inside confused. They didn't see inside the plane, so they had no idea why Tony stormed in the building. They walked in to see Tony on top of Steve, punching him repeatedly. Vision was the first one to pull him off of Steve, followed by Thor.

Tony kept fighting to get out of their arms, but he failed.

"Stark, use your words" Thor announced. Tony couldn't respond, he was still in shock.

"Strucker took h-her." Wanda said with tears streaming down her face. She let him, she let her best friend be taken by that monster. Pietro was consoling her after she said that because he knew how close they were.

Thor just looked shocked. He knew how much you meant to his brother. 'Oh my Gods, Loki. How am I going to tell him? How is he going to react?' he thought.

No words were said after that. You were the glue that held everyone together. You were onw of the only ones that could get everyone to calm down, you made everyone smile and laugh. Now, their smile was gone.

After they stood there for awhile, they made their way to the Quinjet, looking defeated. Sam and Clint were both carrying Cap because he lost consciousness. Bucky couldn't even look at Steve. You were his best friend, and he just let you go. He was disgusted with himself. The worst part was he understood exactly why you tried to stay strong when he last saw you, you didn't want the last time you saw him to be you crying.

The whole ride back to the compound was spent in utter silence. They had no idea what to do.

Loki Pov:

I was waiting for everyone to get back from the mission on the couch. Well really I was waiting for y/n, I hope she is alright.

With no one here, I could finally sort out my feelings for y/n. I started to reminisce over all the times we were together. Not all of the memories were happy ones, like the time I found her on the roof. It always made me sad when she cried, I knew I needed to protect her, that is exactly why I gave her the necklace, so if I was not there to physically protect her, at least we could find her.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard the flying ship land on the roof. Something was wrong. Normally I could feel y/n's presence, but now I felt nothing, it was like she was not here. That thought alone made me jump off my feet and teleport to the roof.

When I got up there, the team was just getting off the ship. I noticed that everyone was injured in some way. Oh my Gods is y/n alright. I immediately went into panic and tried my hardest to fight the urge to go on the ship myself and look for you.

When Thor got off, he made his way directly towards me. I gave him a confused look. He was talking, but I was not listening, I was still staring at the ship waiting for y/n. Clinton, Samuel and Steven were off the ship last, I was utterly confused. I had not seen y/n get off the ship. Where was she?

After I noticed that you were not here, I brought my full attention to Thor.

"Where is she?" I asked him, growing impatient. He gave me a sympathetic look, but did not answer me. He put his hand on my shoulder, still not answering me. So, I went in his head.

She is gone.

My mind could not believe what he was telling me. I simply did not believe him, I thought he was telling a very bad joke. I started to chuckle, but when my eyes met Thor's, I knew he was not lying.

"What do you mean she is gone?" I asked. My mind went to the worst, thinking she was dead, that thought brought tears to my eyes.

"He has her." he stated. I knew who he was talking about immediately. I knew how much she feared that man. I shoved Thor's arm off me and went into a state of panic, but more importantly anger. How could they let you go with him.
