3rd Person Pov:

Loki awoke the next morning in a cold sweat. This was odd for him because he normally never sweat and got hot. His mind felt like it was in the blender, trying to figure out the cause for him being sweaty and panicked. He figured out it was a nightmare.

In his nightmare, y/n was back in that dreadful place. Loki got there and it was too late. She was dead and he found her lifeless body.

He immediately looked to his right, expecting to see a sleeping y/n, but the bed was empty, this made him go into a different state of panic. He thought just for a second, that his nightmare was actually reality. He realized that it wasn't when he looked up to be met with a hospital room filled with her things. Now the question remained, where is she?

His first thoughts were to go to the roof, it was her favorite place here. He teleported up there to see no one. All he saw was the night sky. No cloud bed or blankets or books. This meant to him that she wasn't there.

The next place he decided to check was the library. he thought that maybe she went there to escape this reality and dive into a new one. He teleported to the library to see all the lights off. Maybe she was reading with the lights off?

He looked further into the library to see if she was there, but she wasn't. Instead, Bruce was there.

Ever since what happened in New York, Bruce has always felt a little unsafe and uncomfortable around Loki, and the same for him. Loki was still scared of the doctor, so he never really talked to him. He mainly only talked to y/n and occasionally his idiotic brother.

Loki apprehensively approached the doctor to see if he knew where she was or if he saw her.

"Pardon me Dr. Banner, but have you seen Lady y/n? I cannot seem to find her?" he asked the doctor. Bruce immediately snapped his head towards the sound of the voice with a hand on his chest.

"Jeez, Loki, I didn't know you were in here. And no, I haven't seen her." he responded, his breathing slightly unsteady.

"Sorry to have startled you Dr. Banner, thank you for the help." Loki said. He turned to leave the library and look in her room when he was stopped by Bruce.

"H-hey Loki. I don't fully know what is going on between you and y/n, but don't hurt her or rush her. She is recovering from something very traumatic and I don't want her to get hurt again. Just be there for her and don't hurt her. I have never seen her so happy before until you showed up and I would hate for that to go away because I could see how much better she had been getting before the whole Hydra thing that just happened. Just please don't hurt her or else we will have to repeat New York." Bruce stated. Loki was quite shocked, he had never heard Bruce talk that much. He was also shocked that he thought Loki would do anything to hurt y/n.

"I have no intention of hurting y/n, she is one of the greatest people I have had the honor of knowing. I would never pressure her into anything, all I want for her is to heal fully and be happy, even if that is not with me. You have my word that no harm shall come to her again as long as I am here on Earth. And let's not repeat New York, I am pretty sure that I still have some bruises from it." Loki stated. Now it was Bruce's turn to be shocked. He never thought Loki would have a nice side to him, let alone a caring one. He saw just from these last few minutes how much he cares about y/n.

Bruce gave him a nod and Loki was on his way to find y/n. He was starting to freak out a bit because he hadn't found her yet. The last place he thought to look was the place she had been the whole time, her room.

Loki cautiously walked through the door incase she was asleep. He looked in her room to see a certain billionaire sat up in her bed, watching her T.V. He was very confused. From where he was standing, he could only see Tony. He walked further into the room to see the cutest thing, a sleeping y/n. She was cuddling with Tony, with her left arm wrapped around his torso with her head laying on his chest. It was at this moment that Tony finally noticed that Loki was in the room, this caused him to slightly jump.

"Jeez Reindeer Games, a little heads up would be nice." Tony stated as he placed a hand over his arc reactor. To this Loki just chuckled. He seemed to be scaring a lot of people lately.

He didn't want to wake y/n, so he pulled her desk chair next to her bed. After Loki got comfortable, there was a little bit of an awkward silence. The last conversation the pair had ended up with Tony being thrown out of a window.

"How did Lady y/n end up here if you do not mind me asking?" Loki asked. He also just noticed that his formalities seemed to reappear when he was around anyone other than y/n. Tony looked at him confusedly, how was this same guy that took over New York? In reality, it wasn't the same guy, Loki had changed so much after meeting y/n that he truly became a different person.

"You want the short story or the long story? You know what, I'll just give you the long one. I was walking to the library on this floor to get a book for Bruce and the elevator stopped as I was walking passed. I looked up to see a very scared looking y/n and I took her in here. I knew she wouldn't sleep in that hospital room so I brought her here so she could finally get some rest after everything that happened. She even called me dad." Tony said proudly while running his hand through y/n's hair absentmindedly. Loki just smiled at the interaction. He knew how much Tony meant to her.

That's how they all stayed the rest of the night, talking about y/n until the sun came up.
