"AHH—THE ROSEWOODS...IT'S A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU" Esther Mikaelson kindly greeted the powerful witch family. To say it was odd was an understatement. She felt...off to say the least. The Rosewood siblings wanted answers from her and she looked more than happy to oblige. "Likewise" Nolan sipped his drink slowly. He precisely watched her every move. He had questions that needed to be answered. "I know all of you have questions. And they will certainly be answered shortly" Esther stood confidently as the suspicious eyes viewed her every move.

"Why don't you say what you came here to say, so this wretched night can end?" Klaus smiled falsely at his mother. "It pains me that you and Elijah look at me with such disdain. I wish you could see every action has been to protect you." Esther stuck her chin up in confidence. "You actually believe that, don't you? I knew you were a liar, but now I see you're utterly delusional." Klaus asked as he grew angry at his mother. Why? Was the question that was swarming though his mind. Why was she here? Why is she eyeing the Rosewoods? Why did she choose Natalia for me? "If you can, forget the hatred that you cling to...and remember all the times I've mended and healed you" Esther scoffed.

Klaus chuckled lowly at his mother's delusional antics. "Elijah, do you recall the day Niklaus challenged your father to a duel? Did I leave your brother to die alone? What did I say when you came to me and asked me to help him?" she asked her son, who gazed towards his brother. "That you would rather die than to watch any of your children suffer" Elijah, folding his hands together, answered his mother. Klaus began to relive the painful memory of the duel. The pain and suffering started to resurface but also his intuition. "The necklace" Klaus stated before looking at his mother. "It wasn't spelled to protect me. It made me weak"

"I sought to protect you from yourself. If you would've killed your father in that duel or anyone else over the course of your life...you would've activated your curse" Esther tried to reason with her son but Klaus was too far gone. Nolan nudged his little sister to try to dilute the situation. Natalia simply shook her head. This was not her battle to fight. Nathaniel and Noah on the other hand were keeping a heavy eye on Finn. He has something  planned. "You ruined me" Shoving his dish to the side, Klaus accused his mother. "You left me to suffer at the hands of a father who valued only strength."
