THE SCENT OF PERFUME AND BOOZE ERUPTED IN THE NOSES OF THE ROSEWOODS, WHO RESIDED IN A HOTEL ROOM SUITE. They all slumbered peacefully as the quiet whistles of the wind kissed the window of the building. Their sleep was soon interrupted by the soft buzzing of a cell phone. Groaning in an earthly fashion, the siblings collectively shoved each other with their feet until one of them answered the phone. Being the closest to the side of the dresser, Natalia reached for the phone and glided her thumb across the screen to answer it.
"The Rosewoods are closed today, Niklaus. Check again tomorrow, will you?" Natalia yawned into the phone as she was about hang up on the original.
"Rose, my idiot brother locked me, the werewolves, the vampires, your children, and the menacing idiot that you married in one place together. I can deal with everyone except, well you know...him. If he asks me if I lick myself to bathe again—I'll kill him and hang his bloody head on a mantle."
"We'll be there in a hour, just ignore him. Keep my children safe, please."
With a gentle sigh Klaus replied, "Anything for you my love." and he hung up the phone.
"Team Klaus forever!" the hoarse voices of her siblings announced to their sister. Natalia fought the impending smile on her face as she reminisced in the phrase he spoke to her. "I can't wait till me and Elijah get on that level. After our...night we decided we are going to take things slow." Narcissa smiled to herself as she became all lovey-dovey with her feelings. It was odd to her at first, she wasn't used to love. But he was different. "What about you and Hayley, Nate?" Nolan rolled out of bed as he asked his younger brother about the hybrid. Nathaniel was quiet, as always, but this silence was deafening. He didn't know how to tell his siblings about the mistake he made.
"We didn't sleep together. All we did was stare at each other awkwardly. I think I jumped into the whole 'love' thing and automatically assume I was supposed to be with her" Nathaniel pushed himself up from the bed and rested his elbows on his knees. The Rosewoods furrowed their eyebrows together and tried to piece together their brother's story. "Are you sure she isn't your soulmate? Or are you too scared to get your heart broken?" Noah asked him. He was concerned for his brother. Is Nate okay? Was the only thing he thought of at the moment. "I don't know" Nathaniel answered briefly before entering back into his mind.
