Ada

When they reached the front gate of her house, it suddenly occured to Ada that she probably shouldn't have let him come so close. If her Father found out, nothing good would come out of it.

It was true that Ada loved making his life as miserable as possible, just to return the favour, but she didn't want James to get hurt in the crossfire. He wasn't a part of this mess.

He turned off his bike, put the kick stand in place, and whistled. "That's some cool ass mansion."

Ada got off , pulling off his helmet, and handed it to him. "From the outside."

"See you later?"

"Definitely."

James leaned forward, and kissed her cheek.

Ada stared at him, the scent of vanila, and chocholate filling her nostriels. "What was that for?"

James scratched the back of his neck, looking bashful. "I just wanted to emphasize that I had a really good time, and that I like hanging out with you, a lot."

Ada smiled at how absolutely adorable he was. "The feeling's mutual."

"Or I could play guitar under your window..." James said with a mischievous grin.

"No. I don't want my father, or anyone else to see you. He's an ass. He can cause all sorts of trauble."

James put his hands up in surrender. "Relax, I don't know the first thing about guitars."

Ada grabbed his arms, perhaps a bit too tightly, but she needed him to understand how serious she was. "Don't come here alone, or at all. You've got my number. You can call, or text me, but do not under any circumstances come to my house. Do you understand?"

"Jesus Ada, you're scaring me, and giving me a boner at the same time."

"James, focus. My Father is a scary man. I don't want him to hurt you in any way."

"What if he hurts you?" His green eyes were filled with worry.

"He'll never do that to me, and if he does, I can protect my mself. Now, promise me James. Promise me you won't come here, no matter what."

He pressed his lips together in irritation. "Fine, you have my word."

"Thank you." Closing the distance between them, Ada captured his lips.

Putting a hand behind her neck, he pulled her closer. The kiss was sweet, and slow, but also wanting. His other hand went to her waist. "What was that for?" James asked, a little out of breath.

"That, was a guarantee that you'll see me again."

His smile was as bright as the moon. "I like that, very much."

"Me too." Ada slapped his ass which made him yelp. She kissed him once more, then went inside, turning her head to wink at him.

He was still smiling.
