AdaYawning lazily, Ada turned on the coffee machine.
She wondered what was happening in her house right now? Father had surly found out she was gone. Was he enraged? Plotting revenge?
Just when Ada was about to call Nora for an update, her phone buzzed with a video. It made her smile with relief. Ada texted Nora and thanked her.
"I could kiss you right now, for making such good smelling coffee." James whispered in her ear, and nuzzled her neck.
Ada looked up from her phone, grinning. "I didn't do much, but I'll still take that kiss."
He smiled, and plopped down on a chair, brown hair still wet from the shower.
Ada poured them two hot mugs of coffee, and sat down next to James, placing one in front of him." I thought you'd sleep in."
He leaned in, and kissed her then cupped his hands around his mug. "Hunters don't sleep much. We have high stamina."
Ada put her bare feet up on his jean clad lap. "Cocky."
The edge of his mouth quircked up. "I though you liked me being cocky."
Ada beamed, rubbing him over his jeans with her foot. "I do."
He almost spat out his coffee. "Jesus Ada, how about a little warning next time?"
She smirked. "Then it wouldn't be so fun, would it?"
He laughed. "Touche."
"My Mom finaly kicked Dad out." Ada showed James the video.
James whistled. "I'm glad. So he won't be a problem anymore?"
"Probably not, but it's better to wait another few days. Just to be sure."
He nodded. "I agree."
Ada added some suger to her coffee to sweeten the bitter poison. "I really hope I haven't cost you your job."
James smiled. "Don't worry. I can find another one."
"Or I could have a little chat with your boss, and convince him to take you back." Ada grinned, displaying her sharp fangs.
He shook his head. "Nah. It wouldn't be worth it."
She shrugged. " Ok."
They sipped their coffee in silence, enjoying the sound of crackling fire and eachother's company.
"I think I can get used to this." James said over the rim of his mug, smiling.
Ada smiled back, taking his free hand hers. "Yeah me too."
When the doorbell rang, she jumped a bit, almost spilling the rest of the coffee all over herself. "Fuck."
James laughed. "Sorry, forgot to tell you my brother was coming over."
"You dare laugh?" She glared at him. "I thought it was my Father."
"I'm sorry but Jacks's alright. You have nothing to worry about." James kissed her cheek, then put her feet down, and got up.
"I thought your brother wasn't in town."
"He came back early this morning."
"Jamie boy, you in there? I'm freezing my ass over here, and if you don't open up in five seconds, I'm going to pick your lock or kick in the damn door. I don't care if you're naked."
James smiled apologetically. "He doesn't like the cold."
"Figures." Ada watched him walk out of the kitchen, yelling. "coming."
