JackJack cought his brother before he fell on the floor, and pulled him up into his lap.
He clamped his hand on James's neck, trying to stop the bleeding. With his other hand, he searched for a handkerchief, and replaced it with his bloody hand.
James looked so pail, so fragile. He was dying. Jack could feel life draining from him with every blood drop. Jack was scared shitless.
"It's Ok little brother. It's Ok. I won't let you die..." Jack whispered in a shaky voice, adding pressure to the bite wounds.
Please don't take him away from me. Please, I'll give anything, but don't let my baby brother die. I can't go through this again.
"I can't believe you actually bit him." Jack heard Nora, and looked up to see her pinning Ada to the wall by her throat.
Her hand was shaking, but she didn't let go.
"Relax. I didn't actually kill him..." Ada said nonchalantly, James's blood dripping from her lips, blotching her shirt.
"You almost did."
"He'll be fine."
"He's bleeding to death on the floor. What the hell is wrong with you?"
"A lot, apparently."
Jack looked down at his brother, the white handkerchief had turned crimson. "Nora, I need your help. Give him some of your blood, please. I'll do anything. Please don't let him die."
He didn't care who he had to beg. As long as they helped Jamie, he would sell his soul to the Devil.
"You're worse than Dad." Nora stared at her sister, then turned around, and kneeled by Jack's side.
He saw a flash of hurt in Ada's eyes.
Nora bit into her wrist, and held it above James's mouth. Jack opened his brother's lips, and let the blood flow into it. Then closed it to help him swallow.
They waited, But nothing happened. He still looked as pail as a ghost. He was still bleeding to death.
If Jamie's life wasn't on the line, Jack would have ripped Ada apart by now. How dare she do this? How dare she hurt the man who had showed her nothing but kindness?
Jack's hatred towards Ada burnt his blood. It was true that he wanted Jamie to let her go, but not like this, never like this.
"We need to get him to a hospital..."
"Then please go get someone..."
Nora nodded and stood up.
"What the hell is going on here?" Marcia's angry voice echoed through the round throne room. She was glaring at Ada. "I left you alone for five minutes..."
"They need a ride." She told her, then turned towards them. "don't come looking for me again. Next time I might finish my dinner." She walked out.
Jack gritted his teeth, and tried not go after her. Jamie needed his help.
Marcia said something in a language Jack didn't understand, probably cursing Ada.
"I would really appriciate it lf you sent us back to Rügen." Jack locked eyes with her, pleading. "I'll owe you one."
She sighed. "No you won't. It's the least I can do."
"Thank you."
"I'm sorry things turned out this way." She adressed both of them. "I'll keep an eye on Ada."
"Don't bother." Nora said in a dry tone.
"She won't stay like this forever." Marcia tried to sound reassuring. "she'll get better, and come back."
"I'm not sure I want her to."
"Give me a call if you need anything." She slipped a card in Nora's jacket pocket.
Nora nodded, and went to get Ben's body. Jack clutched Jamie to himself, waiting for Marcia to work her magic.
Marcia snapped her fingers and they were plunged into darkness.
