Ada

Gideon sank to his knees, hands going to his throat, blood running down the side of his mouth.

"Serves you right you son of a bitch." The girl snarled.

"No." Ada shouted, crawling towards him on her hands, and knees. "don't die on me. Don't you dare die on me." She reached out to snap the arrow so she could get it out.

Gideon shook his head at her weakly.

"Don't be rediculous." Ada snapped and reached for the arrow again, but he cought her wrist.

His pain-filled eyes were trying to tell her something. She didn't have time to interpret his secret massage.

"I can't let someone else die because of me." Ada's voice was shaking. "I have to at least try."

"He got what he deserved." The boy said from behind Ada.

Ada saw Gideon's eyes flutter shut. She felt life leaving his body. Ada felt like there was a poisonous arrow stuck in her own heart.

"I'm so sorry." She whispered in his ear, brushing his face tenderly with her fingers. Swalloing a sob, she clutched her dagger in her hand, and stood up. "You killed him."

"Yeah right." The girl scoffed.

Her brother laughed.

Ada threw herself on the girl, tackling her to the ground. Then she turned her around, ripped the quiver off her back, and tossed it in into the well.

The girl screamed as Ada's dagger ripped open her skin.

"Leave her alone you psycho." Her brother shouted from behind.

Ada threw him off herself without even bothering to turn around, and kept slashing right and left, the girl's screams music to her ears. She kicked, and tried to get away, but Ada pulled her back. She liked it when the girl begged for mercy.

"I said get off her." The boy screamed again, terrified.

Ada felt a distant, annoying pain in her back, and stood up. She turned around, barely seeing him through the blood coating her vision, and brought her dagger down.

Grabbing him from his collar, Ada tossed him to the other side of the celler. He hit the wall of wine bottles, and fell. They crashed all around him. The boy cried out in pain.

He tried to get up, to crawl towards his dying sister. Ada strode towards him, fastened her hand around his neck, and lifted him up from the ground.

"He's not..." The boy choked, tears running down his cheeks.

"Liar."

"Please..." He was begging. "I swear she didn't..."

"Stop lying." Ada hissed in his face, tightening her hold around his neck. "You have to pay, like your sister."

"We didn't..." He started again, his eyes pleading, filled with fear.

Bringing up her dagger, Ada plunged it into his throat. He gurgled, hands clutching at Ada's uselessly.

"Now you know how Gideon felt." Ada's voice was emotionles as she watched the light in his eyes go out. She threw him on the ground, and stabbed him in the throat. Again and again and again.

"Ada stop." Someone shouted.

She shoved them back. She might have thrown a punch.

"Ada, he's dead." Someone else was shaking her.
