Gideon

One week later

London

"I'm asking for the last time, where is Angelina?" Ada seethed in the man's face, fingers burried in his chest.

"Please...I don't know..." He whimpered, Blood dripping down his chin.

"You're one of her lackeys. You have to know."

"She doesn't tell me everything...Please, just let me go..."

"Last chance." Ada's voice was stone cold as she stared at the man's face. "think harder, or I'll chop off your cock, and stuff it in your mouth." The tip of her dagger was pressing against the man's groin, drawing blood.

He swallowed hard, his scared eyes darting between the dagger, and her face. "There's a witch...Sarah..."

"Where can I find her?"

"I don t know..."

"Are you sure?" Ada's fingers dug deeper into his chest, drawing more blood.

The man swore, and winced in pain, showing off his canines. "I swear I don't know. She moves around a lot, but she's close to Angelina. I'm sure of that."

Ada smiled. "That wasn't so hard, was it?"

"So you'll let me go? Please you said you'd let me go. I'm a good man..."

"The women you raped, and killed beg to differ." Ada's smile was gone.

"I...No...That wasn't me..." He whimpered again, trying to get away from her, but the dagger, and her fingers in his chest wouldn't let him.

Ada snorted, and started to shift. Her hair became black and longer. She also shrank in hight, and hissed in the man's face. "You didn't kill this woman? You didn't lock her up for weeks, and torture her? And many more like her?"

"I...I'm sorry." The man was crying now.

"Sorry won't bring them back, or give them peace."

"Please, I won't do it again. I swear..."

"Oh I know." Ada smirked, then ripped his heart out of his chest, and threw it on the ground.

The man let out one last whimper, and slid down the wall.

Ada shifted back to herself, made a face at her bloody hands, and leaned down to wipe them on his shirt. Then stood up and waltzed out of the dark alley.

Gideon jumped down from his perch on the roof of a nearby house, and followed her, careful to stay out of her line of sight.

Ada walked for a while, wind whipping her hair around her face. She finaly stopped at a bar called the little bat, and walked inside.

Gideon followed. The smell of alcohol, smoke, and warm air welcomed him. His feet creaked on the wooden floorboards as he walked further into the cozy bar, and sat down on a stool beside her.

"Enjoyed the show?" Ada said in a casual tone while taking a sip of her drink, not bothering to look at him.

Gideon wasn't surprised she knew. "Absolutely. It was a shame I forgot my popcorn."

"Is that why you've been following me around like a lost puppy? To congeratulate me? A thank you card would have worked just fine, and wouldn't bore me with it's bullshit..."

"I'm not hear to bore you with my bullshit."

"No? Then why are you here?"
