AdaA day or maybe it was a night, Somewhere between dreaming, and reality, Ada heard the slow creaking of a door.
"You look like shit. You smell even worse." Someone said, standing above her.
Ada balled herself on the floor, not bothering to answer.
She heard the rustling of clothe, and felt someone's warm hand on her dry skin. "I will kill him for this."
Ada looked up, trying to see who it was through her blurry vision. "He's mine." She tried to growl, but what came out was a mere whisper.
"All right. Easy there tiger." The worried voice sounded a lot like Nora's. She touched Ada's cheek.
Ada shoved the hand back. "No, get out. I won't fall for this..."
"Jesus Ada, it's me, Nora."
Ada blinked a few times, trying to focus on her face. "Or you could be one of his sick mind games or a figment of my own imagination..."
Nora slapped her hard.
Ada yelped and sat up.
"Could a figment of your imagination do that?" Nora sounded challanging.
Ada rubbed her cheek. "Maybe..."
Nora rolled her eyes, and pushed smething in Ada's face. She held it up, looking at it through the light coming from the open door. It was a green, lacy bra.
"I bet your stupid figment couldn't counjur that up." Nora said in her self-satisfied voice.
Ada looked at her with disbelief. "It really is you."
Nora flipped her long, brown hair. "The one and only."
Ada shook her head, impressed. "I can't believe you actually bought it for me."
"Technically Ben did. I just helped."
"I can't believe he did it either."
She grinned. "Men will do anything to keep their precious cocks safe."
Ada smiled. "Thank Ben from me."
"Of course." Then she thrust a bottle of blood Ada's hands. "drink this."
Ada gaulped it down in seconds. As soon as the sweet blood flowed through her veins, she felt her body flourish with much needed life and energy. Her skin and throat were no longer dry, lips no longer chapped. She felt like her old self again.
"Thank you." Ada told her sister and hugged her. Nora froze. "You can hug me back you know so I won't feel so awkward." Ada whispered into her hair.
Nora cleared her throat. "I just...with everything's that happened between us, I thought you hated me, not that I blame you..."
"Nora just shut up and hug me back."
She did, hesitantly at first, but then more fiercely. It felt so good to feel human touch.
"I'm so sorry for what he put you through little sister."
Ada loved it when she called her that. She drew back, looking at her eyes, the same color as fathers, but much kinder. She felt bad for asking this but she had to know. "It wasn't you who broke my neck, was it?"
"Of course not. It was one of Dad's goons." Nora huffed, looking offended. "he must have heard all that noise, and came down to ckeck on things. I wasn't even there when all that shit happened, although I wish I were."
