Ada

The disapprearance was rather chaotic.

There was too much sound, and too many images around her, making Ada's head spin. She closed her eyes, and held on to Maggie tighter.

Ada knew Maggie was dead. She wasn't in denial, but she still didn't want to let go of her body.

The appearence was smoother.

When the sounds finaly stopped, Ada opened her eyes, and blinked against the bright light of the big room they had appeared in.

She was still on her knees, Maggie pressed against her chest. Marcia too was sitting a few feet away from her, Gideon unmoving in her lap.

Looking around, Ada realized it was a circular room with a plain looking throne in the middle. The left wall was painted pure white, the right one pitch black, and the opposite space in the middle, that connected the two, was painted in every color known to mankind.

The floor was covered with grey mosaic. It was so clean Ada could see her own bloody reflection in it. The high ceiling was a sky blue so real it made het wonder if there was a celing at all.

Ada had never seen any throne room decorated this way. Not that she's seen any for real, but she'd stared at enough ones in history books to know this one was weird, unique, and beautiful.

"Where...where is this place?" She mumbled.

"Home. England." Marcia answered absentmindedly, focused on Gideon.

Ada opened her mouth to ask another question in order to avert her attention from the harsh truth in her arms, when the big dubble doors opened, and two people came in.

The black woman smiled upon seeing Marcia but it dropped when her eyes landed on Gideon. "What happened? Why is he like this?" She was on her knees beside them in a second.

The man followed suit.

"The Twin's people." Was all Marcia said.

Their faces fell with fear and understanding.

"Those fucking bastards." The woman cursed in a British accent.

"We lost the cure." Marcia whispered, averting her eyes from the two.

Because of my incompetence. Ada wanted to scream.

"I couldn't keep the vial safe because I spent all of my energy to break Angelina's protective barrier, and fight her off at the same time. You'd think the stupid witch would have secured the damn thing before putting it down there, but no..."

"Marcie calm down." The man said gently, putting a hand on her arm.

"And as if that wasn't enough, Gideon got shot with a poisonous arrow, and Maggie...Maggie didn't make it. I'm so sorry Adrian, I failed you and her. I tried to get all of us out of there, but that bitch got the best of me again..."

Their sad gazes fell on Ada momentarily, and then slid to Maggie.

"We both know it wasn't your fault Marcia." The black haired man, Adrian said in a kind voice, squeezing her arm lightly.

"It was." Marcia said angrily. "Maggie trusted me, and I let her down. She didn't even get to use her cure..." She gritted her white teeth together, and the lights flickered.

"Marci come down." Adrian said sternly, but affectionetly. Surprisingly this time she listened. "you did the best you could. No one's blaming you for anything." Marcia snorted. "What about the rest of them?"
