Sage hoisted herself up the rock wall, relying completly on her muscles rather than her belay. She scamped up the rock wall with almost no effort, until she came to that one stupid rock that was loosened and gave away when all her weight was on it. She was lurched into a stomach dropping jolt.
She hit the cement with a thump, and she could feel something in her back snap. Sage lay arched on the floor while the hazy figure above her sealed off all her light, leaving her in the darkness, without food, or something to sleep on. It was going to be a long night.
Sage screamed and gripped onto whatever she was holding onto tighter.
"Sage, whoa are you okay?" Someone asked. Sage opened her eyes. She was on the rock wall, not on the floor. She hoisted her foot up, and found a foothold. Her heart was beating more rabidly than a rabbit's, and she was hypervenilating. WIth a jump, she managed to jump onto the mat, hearing laughs from some kids.
Scott and Stiles looked at her wildly, but she couldn't make eye contact with anyone. She walked briskly out of the gym and pressed her back against the wall to the locker room. She was okay. She wasn't hurt. She could hear more laughs in the gym, and everyone came filing out of the gryn doors.
As Sage was getting dressed back into her normal clothes, she felt a weird tug in her gut. She watched her trembling hand quiver untill it was in a vertical postition. Her eyes widened.
Sage dropped everything and tore back into the gym where she saw Scott comming out of the doors too.
"Scott!" Sage yelled Scott tore someone who was falling off of the rock wall. He caught her just in time. Sage slid on the floor next to him. Allison crouched down by her side. The poor girl was having a seizure, and Scott was panicking.
"Put her on her side!" Allison and Sage said in unison. Scott did so, and Allison stared at the both of them.
"How did you know?" She asked. Scott shrugged.
"I just felt it.'
"It's a sixth sense." Sage said.
"Sage, hold her while I call my mom." Scott said. Sage wrapped her arms around the girl, who she would later learn her name was Erica, and tried to keep her from shaking.
Sage could soon hear the wails of the ambulance and the paramedics rushed in and did their job.
Later that day, day was sitting at an empty table in the cafeteria, dipping a plastic spoon in some wierd substance that was supposebly called 'Ice Cream". She tried to keep herself busy by watching Stiles try to bargin with Boyd, who was in her English class. He was trying to bargin for the ice rink keys. Sage smiled to herself as the two squabbled.
The cafeteria went quiet, and everyone stared at the door. A really pretty girl with long blonde hair and light brown eyes with dark makeup strolled in, grinning.
It was Erica. The same Erica that was taken to the hospita only four or five hours ago. Sage knew imediately that Erica was one of her kind. Scott's head whipped around to Sage, accusingly. Did you do this? He seemed ot ask. Sage shook her head.
Erica strolled down the edges of the Cafeteria and bent down to Sage and stared her directly in the eye.
"Derek wants the both of us." She said sweetly. "He's out front."
Sge nodded, and took one last spoonful of the terrible ice cream and scooped up her bag. She followed Erica out, feeling very inferior to her slutty style, only wearing skinny blue jeans and a light pink sweater.
She could hear Scott and Stiles get out of their chairs, and Erica smiled.
"It feels good." was all she had said. They skirted down the hallways, and Sage realized that they were together now, bound by a pack. It might be cool to have a new sister, but Sage wasn't totally sure how Erica would turn out. She just seemed a little too much like Derek, a little to excited for the rush of power.
Derek was pulled out to the front, a small smile on his face. Sage rolled her eyes.
"Wow Derek." She said. "Nice." Sage got in her normal place in the back.
As he started to speed off, Sage's anger was starting to boil.
"Hey you know, there is something caled a partnership." She said. "You know, when two people work together to keep things going, like, I don't know, a pack. You seriously didn't tell me?"
"You were at school."
"Seriously Derek? You still could have told me! I should have an imput on this too!" Sage cried. She sat back in her seat. Erica looked back at Sage, but didn't say anything.
Isaac was waiting for them, and his face lit up when he saw Sage, but fell when he saw how angry she was.
"Are you okay?" He asked as she trudged down the stairs. Sage found herself moving her pendant back and forth on its chain, which she did when she was distressed.
"Well, since I've had a pretty screwy day, not really." Sage said, and flopped down on a chair. Isaac picked up her long pendant and smiled.
"A silver bullet?" He asked. Sage tried to hide her smile.
"A present from my mom. A reminder that everything has something that can be used against it. If you learn to take control of it and use it to your advantage, then you can be unstoppable."
"Like healing." Derek said, facing the other way.
"Exactly."
"So, Erica. What drew you to the power?" Isaac asked. Erica's face fell.
"None of your buiness." She stated.
"Everyone has their own story." Sage said quietly. "So Derek, who's the third?"
"I've already got my eyes on him. Tomorrow, Isaac and I are going to talk to him, while you and Erica try and keep Scott and Stiles out of it." Derek said. "We have to be ready. The Argents have already declared war on us, and we have to be ready. With three betas and two alphas we might just survive."
Sage smiled and pulled out a book. "Awesome."

The Other Alpha {Teen Wolf}
FanfictionA lot of times, life can screw with someone, but Sage has unfortunately gotten the shortest straw. She's not the usual teenage werewolf, but the fact that she's an alpha, and her entire family/pack was murdered only a few hours ago. Like any other...
