Sage slid next to Erica at her locker. Erica smiled.
"Scott's going to the ice rink while you and I are going to take care of Stiles, who's going to Boyd's house." Sage whispered, and pulled out a tiny mirror, but was checking on Stiles, who was a few lockers away from Erica.
"How are we going to find him?" Erica asked. "I don't know his address." Sage rummaged through her bag and pulled out a shirt.
"I got it out of boyd's lockers. I'm going to show you how to track." Sage said. That second, the bell rang, and school was over.
In the parking lot, Erica took a whiff of the gym shirt, and wrinkled her nose. "Wow." She said. Sage nodded.
"That's the downside, but I want you to clear your mind and imagine the scent." Sage said. She could already smell trails of Boyd, but she wanted to help out Derek by teaching some control.
Erica's eyes opened, and she gazed off into the direction where the scent was. Sage smiled. "Good, now do you have a car?"
"No, I'm not sixteen yet. What about you?"
"Nah, I left it back in Arizona." Sage said. "I guess we have to run." The both of them took off.
The best thing about being a werewolf is that Sage's limbs didn't get tired when anyone else's would. They ran down the school's porperty line, and through the woods. Sage could smell the familiarity of the woods, where she bumped into Derek and Isaac. Sage imagined what it woud be like if she was caught in the mass murdering of her family. What would happen if they ever caught up to to her?
After about an hour, they stopped at the edge of a pretty block of one story houses. Sage could see Stiles pounding on the door, and she looked at Erica.
"Wait a second, I need to see his car." Sage said, and popped the hood to the blue jeep as soundlessly as she could. She went through her head of al the lessons her dad had given her at his machine shop before he went crazy, and found the car starter, and ripped it out.
"You ready?" Erica asked, and Sage haned her the starter. Erica spun around and Sage dove into some hedges. She wated in awe as Erica boldly marched right up to Stiles. Erica started to flirt with Stiles, and Sage wondered is she could flirt like that. Probably not.
With a smack to the head, Erica knocked Stiles out cold with the starter. Sage smiled and managed to pick up Stiles.
"I saw a dumpster down the block, so we can just put him there." Sage said, and together they carried Stiles down a block. Sage felt bad of knocking out Stiles, but she understood that Hunters were declaring war and Gerard didn't seem to mind wiping out the entire werewolf population.
For some reason, no one took notice of two kids carrying someone down the road. Beacon Hills must've seen some pretty weird stuff if they didn't bother questioning them.
"Alright! Derek and Isaac should be at the ice rink." Sage said, and started walking off to the rink.
"Hey, um, you said you left your car in Arizona?" Erica asked. Sage grimaced, she forgot to explain everything to Erica.
"Hunter broke into my house and shot down my entire family. I was the only one to escape." Sage said flatly, keeping her eyes on the sidewalk. "I ran all night and accidentally slammed into Derek, who was going to bit Isaac. I sort of talked him into accepting the bite and found him the next day, along with Derek. I agreed to help Derek with Isaac, as long as he didn't turn me in to the police. So I was adopted by the pack, and here I am." Sage said quietly. Erica was silent for a long time, and didn't speak until they got to the ice rink.
"So, do you ever think that you might start your own pack?" She asked. Sage shook her head.
"I don't bite. It's some sort of taboo that I can't shake." Sage said, and pushed open the doors, where Derek and Isaac were waiting. Erica's shoulder straighted immediatley.
"Is it done?" Sage asked. Derek nodded.
"Scott should be on his way. We took care of Stiles." Sage said. Sage looked at the smooth ice and had an urge to put on some skates and hit the ice. As a former dancer, Sage's mom had her take figure-skating lessons, and that ruined her gym class because she now had the urge to do crossovers when she made a turn.
Scott ran through the opposite door of the ice rink, and made a run for Boyd.
"What do you think he's going to do?" Isaac asked.
"Talk him out of it." Sage said, watching the angry Scott yell at Boyd.
"If you want friends, then you can do a lot better than Derek." Sage heard Scott say.
"Ouch." Sage said, and Derek led the two betas and an Alpha onto the ice.
"That really hurts Scott." Derek said. "I mean, if you're going to review me, at least take a consensus." He said. Sage had mentally decided that this wasn't going to go well at all, considering the hungry looks in Erica and Isaac's eyes.
Erica growled at Scott, baring her fangs. Sage remained silent.
"This isn't a fair fight." Scott said.
"Then go home Soctt." Derek said. Derek looked at Erica and Isaac, an order to attack, and they advanced. Scott slammed the ice, and shifted into his wolf form.
"I meant for them." He growled. Scott threw Isaac into the glass pane, while Erica shoved him back. Sage stared at the fighting.
"Should we, um..." She started to ask.
"No." Derek said. "Let them fight."
Sage knew from the start that Scott would end up on top. He had this strange powerful aura, like Derek's that radiated power, but it was slightly different. Sadly, Sage saw her two betas on the ice. Sage stared at Isaac and Erica on the ground as Scott slid them to Derek and her. Isaac moaned quietly at her feet, but Sage knew that Scott was enraged and would attack.
"You're right. It is about power." Derek said, and advanced on Scott. Sage sucked in a breath. Derek slashed scott down until Scott was bleeding and tried to fight back. Derek was going too far.
"Derek stop!" Sage said. Derek punched Scott repeated and shoved him onto the ice, where Scott spit out a mothful of blood. Sage wated in horror as Derek put his foot on Scott's neck.
"Derek! I said stop!" Sage yelled, surprised at hearing the growl dripping from her words. Derek looked at her. "You got your point across! He's battered and bruised already! Back off!" She snarled. Derek reluctantly released Scott, and Isaac got up next to Sage.
"Did he actually listen to you?" He asked. Sage nodded.
"I'm not always passive-agressive." Sage said. Boyd jumped off of the zamboni and joined Erica and Derek.
Outside of the rink, Sage turned to Boyd.
"Welcome to the pack."
