Sage didn't even have a second to think about what she was doing, but she ripped her hand out of his grip and shoved him away from her. He looked at her, his eyes an alpha red, and she glared at him. He smiled at her, and lunged. Sage dodged him with ease, but he turned and shoved her against a tree, his claws digging into her shoulders. She winced as blood ran down her body, but she kneed him and tackled him to the ground. She pinned him down, pressing his arms to the dirt.

"Whoever you are stay the hell away." She threatened, forcing her eyes to glow a red. Instead, the teenage boy looked at her.

"You are strong." He admired, as if he doubted her. That only made Sage angrier. She pressed him deeper into the dirt, but a swift kick in her rib sent her crashing into the brush, gasping in pain. When she looked up, she saw two of the same attacker.

Two Alphas? The thought echoed lazily in her brain as she looked up. Wait - was she seeing double? There were two of the same one. When she rubbed her head, and her vision cleared, she realized what they were.

Twins?!

Sage scrambled to get onto her feet, trying to ignore the blood seeping into her jacket. She unzipped the black jacket and let the cool air rush into her. The twins grinned at her bare arms, but Sage was only getting warmed up.

They have no idea what I can do. Sage thought secretly. She had worked hard on keeping her soft side only for those who were close to her. Within the past month, she'd sculpted herself to be much stronger. She helped Jackson control himself, and started using her status as an advantage.

"What do you think of her Aidan?" The second one asked. The first twin grinned slyly.

"She's a tough cookie." He said lustfully. Sage bared her teeth, a sign that she was very much okay with attacking them.

"I suggest you go wherever the hell you came from before I rip you apart." She threatened. They laughed at her, and that only fueled her anger.

"Deucalion's going to be so please when we bring you back."

Sage naturally shifted into fighting position, but all of the sudden, hands wrapped around her neck from behind. Her eyes widened in surprise as the hands squeezed cutting off her air. Her anger was quickly washed away by the panic as she struggled to rip the hands away from her neck, but the hands held fast. She gasped for air, but her throat burned from the lack of oxygen, and red tinged her vision.

Her hands fell to her sides, and her vision blackened just as she crumpled to the floor in a helpless heap.

Sage woke up to the sound of voices around her, and when she moved, the sounds of chains clinking together rang in her ears. Funny though, she didn't hurt. She figured out with no problem that she was blindfolded. The scratchy fabric itched her face, but her hands were held fast behind her, most likely connected by chains to a wall. Panicked thoughts ran through her mind when she put two and two together. She was chained up to a wall, after being attacked in the woods.

"Don't worry sweetheart." Someone said, as if reading her thoughts. "We didn't do anything to you." It was a new voice, deeper and more sturdy.

"Why am I being held like a prisoner?" Sage spat. It wasn't the best thing to do, but she couldn't stand to be helpless in her own world, without seeing anything. She tried to get a sense of what was around her, but she didn't seem to be in any danger... yet. She twisted her writs uncomfortably, sweat make her arms slick, but not enough to slip out.

"Because this is going to hurt." they replied. Behind her, a tiny whoosh, and a crackling. Thoughts pounded her head. What was that? She could smell the smoke. It had to be a flame of some sort, but why?
