Hi everyone! I just want to say that I updated the cover of the story and I really want to know what you think of it. Did you like the old one, the new one, should I try another? Oh, and by the way, people who actually know how to make covers, could you do me A HUGE FAVOR and point me to the right direction? (Good sites, programs etc. 'cause I don't know what the heck I'm doing)

Sage knew that if she had her necklace, then she'd be wringing the hell out of it, but Fernando was doing her a favor and taking it to the shop to fix it, but Sage felt a little bit vulnerable without it.

"I still can't believe we're here." Erica said as the two of them strolled into the library. Sage kept her eyes trained on Jackson in front of her.

"Well, we did walk into a supernatural fight." Sage muttered under her breath. She slung her bag on the floor and flopped into a chair, trying not to make eye contact with Scott across the room. She didn't know if Scott knew Jackson was the kanima, but Sage also didn't know if Derek would flip his lid if she confronted Scott about it.

Sage glanced around at the tables as Harris droned on and on about 'staying under control in pressuring situations' which he might have meant, 'if this happens again you're all screwed.

Sage tapped her fingers nervously against the table, which was probably annoying Erica, judging by the look on her face. It was all that Sage could do to let her frustration and panic out, being stuck in the same room as Jackson.

Sage tried to focus her irrational behavior on something else, and Jackson's alarmingly high heartbeat caught her attention. He started to breathe heavily and jumped up. Sage's eyes followed him as he ran out of the room, followed by Harris. Erica tapped her hand.

"Do you think-" She started to say, but she was cut off abruptly by Scott and Stiles as the slid in in front of the two girls.

Erica's eyes glanced to hers, and Sage nodded the slightest bit. We'll talk later. She meant to say. Erica caught the message and turned her attention to Stiles.

"Do you know how Jackson's parents died?" he asked. Erica nodded.

"Wait what?" Sage hissed. Erica nodded.

"It was a car accident. My dad was the insurance investigator." She said simply. Sage stared at her, wondering what kind of ties she had with the ordeal.

"I could try to find it on my dad's inbox." Erica muttered, and pulled out her laptop. Sage ignored Scott being called to the office, but watched as she scrolled through thousands of unimportant documents and finally pulled one up.

So apparently Jackson was born a day after his parents died.

Interesting?

Harris started to pack up his bag, and they all took that as a sign to get out, but Harris laughed and patted three carts of books and stated that they would have to re-shelve.

Son of a bitch.

Everyone groaned and Sage grabbed several books and started putting them away. Sage locked eyes with Scott as she grabbed her fifth stack. She knew that Scott could read her and that something was up, because he went straight to Stiles and they started talking quickly and quietly.

As Sage was almost done with putting her share of books away, she heard Jackson's rapid heart rate and breathing, but there was a tinge of rage laced in each shaky breath he took. She could sense his willpower crumbling into something else.

As it dawned on Sage, she saw Jackson leap from shelf to shelf, sending the lights flickering and books tumbling to the ground.

Doing exactly what she was taught to do as a child, Sage dropped to the ground and covered her head as she was pelted with books, only making her slow healing bruise hurt again.

Sage could feel her heart skip several beats as her fangs grew and she knew her eyes were a defiant red.

The flashing lights might be triggering her true form, but she heard Erica's hear beat spastically.

Sage remembered Erica's epilepsy.

"Erica!" She cried as she slid into the aisle where Erica was just falling to the ground. Sage tried to catch her as she fell tot he ground, but she was panicking too much and she didn't have enough power. Erica's weight dragged Sage onto the broken glass and she could feel her hands being pierced with glass, but she was so concerned with Erica that she didn't care.

Sage turned Erica on her side, just like she had done not too long ago, but it didn't help at all. The terror grew in Sage as she realized that Erica could be having a very dangerously traumatic seizure.

"Stiles come down here." Sage ordered as Stiles caught sight of the two of them. Stiles got down and took Erica out of Sage's arms, offering more stability than Sage's weak arms.

"We need to get her to a hospital." Stiles said.

"D-D-Derek." Erica stuttered helplessly. "I need D-Derek." Stiles looked at Sage for help, but she shook her head in hopeless distress.

"I have no idea, but give me your phone." Sage said, holding out her hand, which she realized her bleeding. Stiles glanced at her hands nervously. "I'm fine i just need a phone!" Stiles paused for a minute to hand Sage his phone and Scott picked up Erica.

Sage followed Scott as he ran to his car and Sage scrolled through Stiles contacts until she found Derek.

Each time the phone rang Sage's fear grew. She didn't believe that she had just seen Jackson turn from human to kanima, but she was more concerned for Erica's safety.

"Stiles?" Derek asked. Sage let out a long breath of relief and tried to keep her voice from cracking.

"Derek! I-I know who the kanima is. It's Jackson, and he destroyed the library. The lights started to flicker and Erica's having a seizure. She says that you can get her out of it, but I have never heard of it-" Sage started to say her words getting faster by the second. Her fingers were going madly against the window. She saw Scott look at her through the rear view mirror, recognizing her fear.

"Get her hear now." Derek ordered without emotion.

The ride was almost agonizing. Erica's whimpers could be heard as Scott pulled up to the train station.

Sage ran down the stairs as if her life depended on it and Scott set Erica down on the train floor. Derek grabbed her wrist and squeezed it hard.

Erica's screams made Sage clamp her mouth in fear, or to yell at Derek to stop hurting her. After a while, Erica slipped into a form of unconsciousness. Sage stared off into space, contemplating what she should do.

Sage never had to actually do that. She used to rely on her instinct to pull through, but right now really included thinking and rational actions.

"Your hands." Someone said, whispering into Sage's ear. Sage jolted in a panic, but was met by Isaac's eyes. She let out a breath and hid her bloody palms.

"I'll be okay." She said quietly. Isaac didn't seem to believe that. His fist rested on his chin and he stared up at her. Sage hid a smile as she avoided looking into his expecting eyes. "What do you want from me?" She asked, a hint of playfulness edging her voice.

"I don't know, maybe some way to kick this kanima's ass before it kicks ours." Isaac said hopefully. Sage's smile grew a little bit, only a smile Isaac could put on. Sage wished she wasn't smiling in the horrid moment, but she couldn't help it. "Should we wait again?" Isaac asked, smiling too. Sage sighed and stared at him.

"You and I both know that I hate waiting."
