Sage narrowed her eyes at Deucalion. "What operation?" She asked. She could feel Deucalion reading her through his sunglasses.

"To help you get Isaac back, of course." Deucalion said to her. Confusion passed through her mind.

"You're going to help me get Isaac?"

"Of course. I see that it's so important that you would disobey your alpha to get him. I would be delighted to help you." Sage gave Deucalion a look that said, Hold up.

"Derek isn't my alpha." She said flatly. "It's a partnership." And look how that worked out. Guilt settled in her gut about what she said to him. It was such a stupid fight, but she was a real bitch about it. No. She told herself. Stop it. It's over. It happened, focus on your main priority.

"Alright." Sage said, with a little more confidence. She looked at Deucalion, and he seemed to be waiting for her to give orders. A smile crept across Sage's face at the thought of being able to see Isaac again.

"I'm going to go make sure that he is okay before I take him back to my place." Sage said.

"What if you run into Derek?" Deucalion said, though he didn't sound that worried.

"I don't really know, but I might need you to step in if I do." Sage said. Deucalion smiled proudly. Sage wondered if he was really as vicious as Derek had described.

"That's my girl." He said. Sage turned away before her face turned red. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

Sage jogged down the hallway, searching for Isaac's scent, but everything smelled different in the hospital. It all smelled of antiseptic and cleaning products, but no Isaac.

After a couple minutes of searching the empty hospital, Sage found nothing. She picked up her pace as she jogged back to where she met Deucalion, when someone turned the sharp corner, placing them self right in her path.

She tried to stop as fast as she could, but she was alright colliding with them and toppling to the floor. She hit the ground with a hard smack and a pop. Pain swelled in her shoulder, but she bit her tongue to keep from moaning.

Her skin tight hoodie was squeezing her arm, which was now swelling. She peeled off her jacket, hoping that whoever bumped into her would just keep walking. She examined her bare shoulder, which was now dislocated.

"Just keep walking. I'm fine." She hissed though her teeth and she managed to pop her shoulder back in.

"I told you to go to school." The person said gruffly, and Sage finally looked up, and tried to keep the the color from draining from her face.

"You can't keep me from doing this. I was really close to finding Isaac." She huffed. Derek was suddenly quiet, staring at her bare arms.

No, he was staring at something else. He stepped closer to her and snatched her arm.

"Derek!" She protested fighting his grip. He stared at her forearm, at the sharp black lines painted on her skin.

Uh Oh...

Sage went completely white as Derek stared at her brand. She tried to say something in her defense, but there was nothing to say. Thoughts raced around her brain, coming up with everything bad that could happen.

"What is this?!" Derek growled. Sage pulled on her arm, but Derek held it fast. "Where did you get this Sage?!" He ordered.

"I-"
