"If we can't handle this small task, we don't deserve to be his."

012: easy as pie

At one point, he had developed a fear of both the dark and the light.

The light that had forced him to see the smiles on their faces as they punished him. The dark that hadn't let him see at all. Both were scary.

This fear took far less time to get over however. Everywhere there was either light or dark. There was no escape.

But there was an acception to the fear. A dim lit.

He could see enough so that he was aware he wasn't blindfolded but the light wasn't too bright as to seem like it was purposely trying to make him see.

Such an idiotic concept, right?

Yoongi was gone when he woke up the next morning.

Hoseok didn't want to get up but as always, he put on his usual smile and sat up. There was really no reason to be upset, he couldn't just ruin his day due to his exhaustion.

He knew he had work to make up and a test upcoming the following week. That on top of trying to figure out how to safely get Jungkook out of there weighed heavily on his mind. His first thought was to become Jungkook's guardian but while he's going through the process of getting him under his care, Jungkook would have to stay there a few days and Mother and Father would know that and they might hurt Jungkook. He couldn't let that happen.

It could seem overwhelming; all the things he had to do. And it was.

He just knew he had to take things as he always did, one thing at a time.

First, he had to get ready and go to class. Yes, that'd be his first goal of the day. It could be accomplished easily if he was careful.

The test was moved closer to the following Monday.

It was already Friday. This week had to have been one of the most eventful that Hoseok had had in a long time.

He got to hang out with Jimin, Seokjin, and Taehyung, saw Mother again, got to see Yoongi, and suffered by himself for a good long time. Yes, an eventful week.

The weekend would have to be for studying and making up work.

Having finished classes, Hoseok was on his way to Persona. He'd work his shift and think about how to save Jungkook.

Lost in thought, he hadn't realized Seokjin was standing right in front of him as he stared at his tied shoes with his fingers still intertwined with the white laces on them.

"Hoseok-ah?"

Hoseok flinched, eyes darting upwards to look at his hyung.

"Ah, sorry. Oh and I'm so sorry for yesterday and the day before. I--It was an accident."

"It's okay," Seokjin replied. He seemed to be lost in thought too.
