"I fail to find the difference between true friendship and fake friends. I can't understand the people around me and I think that's what I'm afraid of. That's my one biggest fear."020: truth or dare
xxxx
Before the game began, there was a slight variation to the classic rules of the game truth or dare. A bottle would be spun to determine who you'd ask as everyone had a slight bias to one person or another to ensure a fun game. In addition to this, if your bottle lands on the same person three times, everyone must change seats. If the bottle you spin lands on the same person after everyone sits in different spots, it's obvious you are purposely choosing that person and so you will be punished. You'd also be punished if you fail to complete a dare or say a truth.
Seokjin had even gotten out his lie detector at the maknae's request to use for the truth portion of the game.
Hoseok couldn't really see the use of "punishments" because he was sure no one would cheat and it was harsh to make those who failed their truth or dare to get one but Jimin insisted on it. Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook all worked on writing down the punishments on a piece of paper so that none would be made on the spot. It seemed like everyone was taking this game far too seriously. Seokjin and Yoongi were quietly chatting about dares, the three youngest were discussing how to cheat and make the game more interesting if the players fell short.
Namjoon was the only one who looked uncomfortable. Hoseok didn't try to hold back when he felt the strong urge to make the tall awkward giant feel more at home.
"Hey Namjoon-ah, everyone's taking this game pretty seriously, huh?"
"Yeah."
"Are you okay to play for awhile? I assume the game will be at least an hour if not two or three."
"I'm good."
"Oh, alright. Also, sorry about this morning. Thanks again for taking care of me. I'm kind of glad it happened though, now I can talk to you easier. We get to work on our project together too! Oh yeah! I was going to ask, can we do a dance for the creative portion or display for our psychology project?"
"Dance?"
"Yeah, I'm a dance major. I can do any style. I--If you're up to it, I can choreograph something to a song when we figure out what we're doing and I can teach you it. It'll be hard work but our score will be a great one for sure."
"Okay."
Hoseok smiled, hands folded together in his lap.
"Hey, am I annoying you or are you a little bit quiet? If you are, it's not a problem! Yoongi was when we first met and he still is. Jungkook used to be really quiet when he was a kid too."
"You're not annoying me. I just don't know how to talk with others. I'd rather listen."
"Oh, okay. Then how about--"
"Is everyone ready? Preparations are finished!" Taehyung announced. The talking stopped and everyone headed for the large empty space made on the floor. The coffee table was moved so they could sit in a circle. Namjoon sat to the left of Hoseok and Seokjin was to his right. The lie detector sat in the middle and the paper that had the punishments was flipped over off to the side. The bottle was an alcohol bottle and was still full. Seokjin hadn't expected to be playing this game so he didn't save any empty bottles.
