The guys kept teasing Lee about the fairy costume all day. It didn't help any that at one point Carl had found some glitter and skipped up to Lee held out his hand and blew the glitter all over him. As Lee yelled, "what the hell." Carl smirked, "now you can fly." The guys lost it and were on the floor laughing their buts off. As we all took off to get ready for the party. Yep, we had everything done by eleven in the morning. I could not believe that our parents waited until the day of the party to tell us about the damn thing and that it was on Christmas Eve. As we all got dressed I heard Noah telling the guys "I just hope their dresses are not too revealing." "Yeah, mom and Mary are really starting to drive us crazy." I smiled shaking my head as we all pulled on our dresses. It wasn't long after we made our way downstairs to our guys. The guys looked up and their jaws dropped. I knew instantly that all of us picked the right dresses that not only pleased us but also the men that we loved. I would have not thought that all our men preferred for us to be conservative.
Our men walked up to each of us and pulled us into their arms. As I snuggled into Noah's arms "now this is how my fiancee should always look." I couldn't help but tiptoe up to him and kiss his lips "I am glad you like the dress." "I love the dress." We all took off and headed out to our cars then to the hall where the party was being held. I still could not believe our parents decided to throw another Christmas party. I wasn't sure about this party since there were going to be kids that none of us knew. My mom admitted that not only were there going to be people from our lives but also people from their offices and clients. Needless to say, I was not happy. I know all too well whenever there is a new girl that doesn't understand mine and Noah's relationship they always try to come between us. I mean hell even wait staff tries to hit on him, even with me sitting right next to him or with him holding my hand.
I look at Noah he smiles at me "don't worry Shelly. Remember I love you and only you." I smile at him "I know Noah but there are so many people out there that do not respect our relationship." "I know Shelly but I will make sure they understand I am yours as I know you will do the same." It wasn't long before we arrived at the hall and we waited for the whole gang to show up before entering. Noah had his arm around my shoulders while I had mine around his waist. We looked around for our parents and it wasn't long before we found them and greeted them. They smiled at us and let us know that they were ready to introduce us and let everyone know that we all had arrived. I was not happy when my mother told me earlier that she was going to introduce us since there were some clients that wanted to meet us. Noah and Lee calmed me down letting me know that eventually, I will have to get over my dislike for being the center of attention if I intended to be a lawyer. I had to concede since I knew they were right.
Following our parents, to the stage, I snuggled into Noah not wanting to let him go. "Hello, and welcome to the Flynn and Evans Christmas Party. Here tonight are not only our colleagues from work and their families, our clients and their families but also our children's friends and families. For our colleagues and clients who have yet to meet our children, we would all like to introduce them to you. Before we begin the introductions let me give you a little background information on our family. Our wives have been best friends since college thus making myself and Max here become best friends as well. My June and I had our firstborn son Noah..." I watch him point to Noah who nods at the crowd. "It was a year later that my June let me know she was pregnant again and we found out that Mary was pregnant with her firstborn as well. The two of them found..." I zoned out knowing that Mathew was going into detail about mine and Lee's quirk and nickname for each other since more than likely someone will mention it from our friends. I snuggled deeper into Noah as he pulled me close when we noticed this girl checking him out and biting her lip.
He looked down at me and kissed me lightly on the lips. "Shelly, come back to the party." I smiled and zoned back into what Mathew was saying. "Thus having them call each other twin. I am sure you all are wondering why I have explained my son Lee's and Max's and Mary's daughter's friendship is because our son Noah and the Evans's daughter Elle are engaged to be married. We didn't want them to have to explain their friendship if you heard them call each other twin or one of their friends ask them for their twin and then find out about her relationship with Noah. So, moving on we now have reached Max and Mary's youngest child Brad. We welcome all of you here tonight and hopefully, this will be a first in what we hope to become an annual tradition. Enjoy and mingle."
